Curious if I buy a 3.8g gold ring how much above spot price should I expect? If I want to sell it later what kind of fee can I expect?

Also wondering the same about chains, maybe in the 2-4baht range.

the TH gold bourse has two quotes, one for bullion one for ornamental gold. The latter rate plus an extra for specific craftsmanship would apply

The "craftsmenship premium" in Thailand is very low. As opposed to bid/ask spreads for physical Gold in the rest of the world. Measured by OZ (30.1 grams).

Therefore, "Thai Gold", even in form of jewellery can be an attractive investement.

Only thing: Buying and selling must take place in Thailand. To sell "Thai-Gold" in Europe is an advenure in itself, to be advoided if ever possible.

If I remember correctly, the last time I was in a shop, the bullion spread was 200 baht, and the ornamental 600.
