Didn't a Polish Insta girl just get let off the hook for trying to smuggle much more cannabis into the UK?

He should be deported back to Poland and banned from the UK. Doubt he's ever paid any tax and has used a fortune in tax payers money.

What has paying tax got to do with smuggling weed?

Kelly Clarke, his defence lawyer, painted Golab as a pawn in the crime syndicate’s game.

A willing pawn, he could have gone to the police/customs and stated all this before the trip.

Whether they wanted to let him continue the journey and liaise with Thai authorities with a tip-off or just cancel the trip.

Yes indeed, and it goes back to the early years of World War 2 when the German Nazis attacked Poland. Many refugees and soldiers escaped to England.  Ref. (Google). Since those days, there are now several generations of ethnic Poles throughout the UK.

Polish Resettlement Act (1947) This Act was the first time the government had passed a law to settle such a large number of migrants – over 150,000 Polish people ended up in the UK in those early post-war years through this scheme.

He's guessing the guy generally is a strain on tax payers in UK, not that he'd pay tax on weed anywhere.

That was the second wave of polish exodus.

Since Poland was accepted into EU the third exodus began.
