That's not new. I've heard of that rule being cast in many Bangkok condos over the last couple of years. Honestly, I don't find it unreasonable. One needs to adapt. Vape or use edibles. Or go for a walk and smoke a joint in the Soi.

I was recently told by a cannabis shop owner that dry herb vapes are illegal in Thailand.

Bunch of Karens.

People have the right to enjoy the space within their condos.

What's next?

Criminalizing odorous stir fries?

Vegans do

A few years ago you couldn't even smoke cannabis anywhere in Thailand without risking a serious jail term or a heavy fine. Now you can pretty much possess as much as you want and consume it in any way you wish without any risk. This issue kind of reminds me of the message being portrayed in this video:

If it's legal and you can't use it inside your own home, what's the point?

I repeat.

Bunch of Karens.

You'll get a different answer from every person you ask. But a dry herb vape is simply an oven. It doesn't contain any illegal chemicals like oils and flavorings as the THC and nicotine vapes do. It is technically a vape, but doesn't involve any of the reasons that the kinds of vapes, that mainly destroy the lungs of teenagers, were made illegal.

Also, THC vapes contain extracts that contain more than 0.02% THC, which are also illegal on that basis. What goes inside a dry herb vape isn't illegal.

All that aside, take a step back and ask yourself how many incidences have you heard of anyone being arrested or fined for cannabis use in any way since the law was changed in mid 2022? I can't think of one.

You can use it inside your home. You can cook it, eat it. You just can't burn it to where the smell bothers your neighbors.

Did you even READ the OP?!?

1. Prohibit co-owners and residents from using and possessing cannabis in The Whacky Condominium.

Following is a full list of what they need to ban in all Thailand condos:

Durian

Fermented foods

Excessive garlic cooking

Deep frying

Smoking anything

Incense burning

Barbecue or grilling

Overuse of strong cleaning agents

Strong perfumes or room sprays

Animals with strong natural odors

Improper disposal of pet waste

Burning candles or scented oils excessively

Can also add wife beating to that list.

Karens on a rampage!

I missed that. Yes, possession definitely does go too far. I don't think legally they can even enforce that.

I call B.S.

What about cigars?

If  weed in a closed condo room makes you sick, you're a bit of a freak, and you support restricting the flippin' FREEDOM of the entire population to cater to you. That's disgusting.

BTW, I hate the smell of tobacco and asthmatic, yet I would never have the gall to be a SUPER KAREN about what other people do within their own homes.

Of course PUBLIC PLACES are a different kettle of stinky fish.

Do you think people will smoke weed in a completely closed condo? That's not going to happen because people who smoke also want to have fresh air.
