India helping Israel

I had a work colleague yesterday talking politics stuff to me which I was not happy 

 

But he said the Indian army were in Gaza fighting for Israel 

 

Is this case and please can any academic tell me why .

Would they be contracted out ?

I find that very hard to believe that India would have fighting troops there like North Korea has troops on the ground for Putin in Ukraine.

However India and Israel have a close relationship as far as defense technology so I would expect that there would be Indians in Israel on business related to that.

In general India's friendliness to Israel is linked to relating to them because of India's endless conflict with Pakistan.

   Why wasnt you both working ?

Were you just standing there talking to each other without mopping the floors ?

India is only interested in helping itself. If any Indian military official is present in Israel it is in respect to  technology transfer or arms sales.   India has had a  foreign policy that is not particularly friendly to israel.
