The legality of the creation of Israel is far from a settled topic, especially among the Arabs. There were a number of plans proposed with respect to the creation of Israel, including the "Partition Plan" which was rejected by the Arab stares. Anyway, all one has to do is look at a map and count the people now opposed to concept of Israel and, for them, it's illegal creation. Reducing Gaza to rubble and committing genocide in the process does nothing to change the minds of millions of Arabs. It only furthers their resolve. So, yes, there is a connection, and it's obvious. -
