Employer Desperate to Reunite with Missing Child Amidst Turmoil

In a heart-wrenching tale of love and loss, a 51-year-old woman in Rayong has been thrown into turmoil after the sudden disappearance of a Cambodian worker she had employed for two years, along with the worker's 4.5-year-old daughter whom she had come to cherish as her own. This emotional saga began when the worker, taking her daughter on a motorcycle stolen from the employer, fled to Cambodia amidst domestic strife.

 

Upon their return to Thailand, they were found living in destitution, and the child, distressed and in poor health, was taken back under the employer's wing, rekindling her nurturing relationship. Shockingly, on December 30, the trend repeated—a new black Toyota reportedly whisked away mother and child without a trace, led by the mother’s new Thai husband.

 

 

The employer, anguished over the child’s complaints of abuse and well-being, has made an urgent plea for them to return. She has offered financial and legal support, insisting on maintaining the child’s education and care, despite severing ties with the mother.

 

Holding onto hope, she implores the child, now fluent in Thai and aware of how to contact her, to reach out. Prioritising the child’s best interests, she hopes to resolve this distressing situation with compassion and understanding, fearful for the young girl's future amidst an unresolved familial conflict.

While I sympathise with the employer and her good intentions, the mother of the daughter has the right to do as she wishes, good or bad.

....not if the mother is mis-treating/abusing the daughter. A sad case.
