Ford Motors, in the Isthmian League. Enfield in the Athenian League. Both have changed names and grounds.

 

Also played for the British Army, but in the British Team, which did not include guys from overseas. So nowhere near as strong. Played a couple of games at Aldershot. One at Reading, and one at Stamford Bridge. 

 

Those were the days.

 

In the FA Cup, I've got 7 correct from 8 so far.

I played for a decent Sunday league team for many years coached by an ex Gillingham professional & former manager of Dartford & Tonbridge. 

Because of his contacts my team played against Spurs, West Ham, Charlton & Brighton academy sides. I've played at The Valley, Preston, Gills & many non-league grounds. You're right. Those were the days

Thinking back now Gary, it was Ford United. I was working in Fords as a data analyst. The club was sponsored by the company. Ford had two grounds. One in Dagenham and the other in Redbridge. Now I think the club plays under the name of Redbridge; in Redbridge. Don't follow them at all onve they left Dagenham. The other club, I think, is now Enfield Town. One of the few clubs wholly pwned by the supporters. I look out for their matches.
