I am trying to buy some oyf these tubes for a Daylight magnifying inspection lamp. In the UK and the EU fluorescent tubes are banned and you can't replace a tube with LEDs like you can with a bulb. Seems a waste to spend another £200 to £300 to get a whole new unit. I managed to but some for a while whilst stocks last but nobody has them now. Hoping I might be able to but some here. Where might have this type? They are a bit specialised.

I have these, your probably going to need to change it over to a led. The led ones are just a circular board with magnetic screws, so you will remove the ballast, starter and tube, and the clips that hold the tube, install led board and driver. Mine are trouble free maybe ~7 years.

You may score with a specialist electrical store who will be able to order one for you.

This is our local place, very conveniently located next to the bottle shop :whistling:

Seen quite a few on line but it never gives the size of the tube so not much help. I needed an actual store so I can compare. But I have been reading up on fitting an LED light and assuming I can find one the right size that should be fairly simple, Guessining it has an electronic ballast I just remove the ballast altogether or wire directly to the new light fitting. This is for a magnifying inspection light and they are not cheap. Surprised, for the sake of saving the planet, they don't sell a retro fit LED kit. Just want to sell a completely new one.

They are available in my local store but after changing a few and the fact that my ceiling lamp was continually full of dead insects I changed it for a circular LED ceiling lamp. It wasn't expensive, insects can't get in and it should be cheaper to run. 5 minutes to fit.
