New Swimming pool , Is Salt water the best option?

looking at getting a pool built
Was looking at getting around 10mx 4m with a slope going from 1.20m-1.80 meters

 

Quoted 880k for a Salt chlorinated concrete tiled pool from JD pools
Not sure if this is an overflow pool will have to check.

Jd pools said 1,80 would be dangerous and might actually go with a 12m pool going from 1.20 - 1.50 

Are liner pools worth looking at as always preferred the look of tiles.

We have been visiting Bang saphan for the last 3-4 years and the hotel have an excellent Desjoyaux liner pool that still looks amazing but heard they are expensive

What size pool would you suggest?

I read that "salt water" pools are not salt water.....it is still chlorinated water, but the chlorine comes from breaking down salt on a continuous basis....rather than dosing the pool every so often.

 

Anyone know if that is correct?

For me....go for as long a pool as you can afford, even if it is only 3m wide and 1.1m deep.

I've got a 14x4 x(1.4 to 2)m Kera tiled salt water pool. Great.

Don't slope all the way   say 4m flat 4m slope then 4m flat   something like that.

Waterfall and 2 dolphins in tiles on the bottom with 4 coloured LED lights.

Yes, about 8 years old and cost me, including around pool tiles and half pool shade structure above B800000 but I built it myself with farmers help.

No not lookin for work ;). Don't mind helping on this forum.

I get the farmer across the road to clean it each Sunday. Good man, helps us with heavy work. B350 per week.

Add pool salt when the chlorinator yellow light flashes.

That's mainly it.

Kera tiles had to look those up they look amazing

Salt chlorination is the best option. You have to ask for the pool not to be salt in Australia.

Takes the guess work out of proper sanitation. The electrolosis splits clorine gas of the salt and it runs through the water to create liquid chlorine (Sodium hypochlorite) The (<removed>) salt levels need to be kept at 4,000 ppm (Sea water is around 55,000 ppm) Plus the salt softens the water giving a better bather experience. 

I would stay away from both companies mentioned and definately liner pools.

I have had a little dealing with Bagwain and I think he knows what he's talking about. Also builds pools I think.

I live in NE Isaan near Lao so my option was to build my own. I did pay a pool builder from Phuket to advise me by remote control and sourced the pool plans from a company in Limasol Syprus.

It is correct, but it is a much milder form of chlorine because it can be administered consistently at lower levels. This means it doesn't cause chlorine spikes caused by intermittently adding larger volumes of chlorine and results in a more pleasant experience for swimmers.

It's also a more complex system and therefore more prone to breakdown.

Is this your company if so looking at a price for a 10m×4m Salt chlorinated concrete tiled pool

Would like it sloped 1.2m-1.5m or even 1.8m but told that's probably too deep regarding safety
