It's easy to pass judgement that this is harmless and just a bit of fun when its done to a stranger, but if it were closer to home and someone you cared about ?

 

... I think many guys would end up getting physical and resort to a violent reaction with someone behaving like this....    and that in itself highlights how wrong the Polish guys behavior was.

 

But... if someone is the type of person not to be bothered about a stranger treating their wife or girlfriend like this and giving them a slap on the backside, then that might suggest more about the 'type' of partner they have in the first place.

 

 

All of that said - the BiB reaction is rather excessive, as would be a 200,000 baht fine...  nevertheless, the guy did something wrong and should be held accountable (to a reasonable extent).

The law is the law. Unwelcome touching of female sex organs be it breast or arse is just that. Sexual assault. Just hope the presiding judge take a kinder look in sentencing the guy.

If that was my daughter - the perp would be eating hospital food. 

 

And YES - my daughter was sexually assaulted once by a few kids in school - one was on a scholarship - and he is no longer on a scholarship or at the school. That screwed up his world. His parents could not afford that school, he'd already been scolded for taking a picture up my daughters skirt and showing the other boys. Guess where he is now? Not in an international school, not on a scholarship - just a crappy Thai school. He assaulted my daughter and messed up his life up in the process. I was just the angry dad that made it happen. 

 

The effect this has on the girls is not something I'd with on my worst enemy - fortunately my daughter got over it.

 

Never underestimate the father. And you know - one of those girls might have a wealthy dad or a cop dad - and you would be seriously screwed.

You know when you go out - and you put in a call to find out where the roadblocks will be on the way home, so you can have a couple of pints without worry? No - of course you don't.

 

I've been here 25 years - and don't fear the dinosaur sexpats that may abuse my wife or daughter. I fear the mental impact of an assault of that kind on my wife and daughter. I also know the abuser would be dealt with. 

 

As for me being number 1 - I put myself on par with all expats here that live a normal suburban family life - but relative to Pattaya sexpats - yeah - I consider those to be a lower class of human.
