Thai Blood Shortage Urges Public for Immediate Donations

Northeastern Thailand faces a pressing blood shortage, with officials from Regional Blood Centre V urging residents to donate in response to hospitals receiving only 30-40% of their required blood supply. Nakhon Ratchasima's 39 hospitals are heavily reliant on the centre, which traditionally expects requests for up to 15,000 units monthly. Currently, they hold a mere 3,000 units, marking an alarming 80% deficit.

Sirilak Piakkhunthod, head of the blood centre, highlighted key issues contributing to the shortage. Regular donation occurs infrequently, with many donating just once a year instead of every three months. Furthermore, a decline in new donors persists, hindered by health issues such as thalassemia and iron deficiency anaemia.

Sirilak strongly appeals to the public, particularly those 17 and older, to recognise the critical need for regular contributions, emphasising the crucial role of awareness campaigns. She stated, “We shouldn’t wait for the perfect moment to donate blood, as declining health might mean missing the chance to do so forever.”

Residents prepared to help can visit the Regional Blood Centre V in Nakhon Ratchasima, or use donation sites at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University and Terminal 21 Korat shopping mall. Immediate action is essential to stabilise the supply and support the region's healthcare needs.

Knowing that the toxic spike protein from the mRNA Covid-jabs can remain for years or even indefinitely in the vaxxed, makes me unwilling to receive a blood transfusion from a Blood-bank.  The Red Cross and other blood-bank centers did NOT keep track of whether the donors were vaxed or unvaxxed but simply added the donated blood in the right category (O, A, B, AB / pos-neg).  So apart from the shortage all the available blood in bloodbanks applying that procedure is contaminated.

Obviously, "fact-checkers" deem the above as 'misleading', but note that they do NOT mark it false, only that it is 'extremely unlikely' and that there is 'no evidence of risk'.

And even if it was tainted what's the problem?

Contaminated blood is not a good thing to have flowing round your body. Can maim and kill.

Not to fret Sir.

In a couple of years the people that stayed away from the mRNA miracle jabs will be able to sell their sperm for an absolute fortune. There's gonna be sperm millionaires walking among us.

Age not a problem.

they seem to be "not serious" about getting donors

there is absolutely no reason to be rejected because of age

I also tried and got sent packing

first time donors in Thailand have a cut off at 60 years old

and if you are a regular donor they cap it at 70

Better educate yourself before posting nonsense statements.

When you are scheduled for non-immediate surgery, there are several options.

You can stipulate that in case of need your own blood is to be used and not any from the blood-bank.

You can also have your own blood or those of unvaxxed friends/relatives with same blood-group tapped before surgery takes place.

Only in case of accident where you urgently need blood, you will have no choice and will be administered what is available.

Your comment is just STUPID!!! Most people who need blood are in emergencies. What do you do if you have an accident and are in a coma?

Good luck!!! 😉

Perhaps I should charge for my A+ non-infected no mRNA blood.  My son's is the same.

Your statement that 'most people who need blood are in emergencies' is wrong.

When looking at the number of cases, non-urgent surgeries requiring blood transfusion are far more frequent overall than trauma cases requiring blood.
