Does anyone know if Gammon Pork is available in Bangkok.   I used to buy in 4kg lots but my supplier died and i don't know where he got his supplies.

Thanking you in advance,  Don.

What's the difference between Gammon and Ham, or Cured Pork Loin please?

Both gammon and ham are cuts from the hind legs of a pig. Gammon is sold raw and ham is sold ready-to-eat. Gammon has been cured in the same way as bacon, whereas ham has been dry-cured or cooked. Once you've cooked your gammon, it's then called ham.

Macro sell it in the bacon section, for some reason they call it Canadian bacon, but in reality it's gammon steaks. 6x half inch steaks per pack.

No, they call it Canadian ham because it´s not raw.

Did you mean to post in the Pattaya forum? I would have thought if looking for something in Bangkok then you'd likely get better info in the Bangkok forum?
