Thai woman fakes kidnapping and miscarriage for attention

A fake Thai nurse in the central province of Ayutthaya yesterday fabricated her pregnancy, kidnapping, brutal assault, and miscarriage to gain her husband’s attention. The husband had only just discovered that she was not a member of the medical profession but merely dressed in a nurse’s uniform.

Thai lawyer Sittra charged in 111m baht fraud case

The Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) has charged prominent lawyer Sittra Biabungkerd, known as Lawyer Tam, and six others in a fraud case involving Jatuporn Ubonlert, also known as Madame Oy. The court ordered them to repay 111 million baht.

Thailand Targets Boost in Chinese Tourism Despite Challenges

Thailand is stepping up its game to attract more Chinese tourists by increasing charter flights from China's smaller cities and rolling out a significant domestic travel subsidy in June. Chuwit Sirivejkul of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reported that Thailand saw 22,000 to 24,000 Chinese tourists daily in January, reaching nearly 30,000 on January 28th during the Chinese New Year.

Man Arrested for Selling Meth Pills Packaged Like Snacks

A 47-year-old man, Mr. Rangsan, was detained after he devised a plan to package methamphetamine pills, known as yabaa, into small bags to sell like snacks. The arrest occurred in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, as police caught Mr. Rangsan trading drugs with a Cambodian buyer outside a worker camp.
