President Trump on Tuesday appeared to blame Ukraine’s leaders for the three-year war with Russia, arguing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “should have never started it.”

 

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, after massing troops on the border and demanding a ban on Ukraine ever joining the NATO alliance. The invasion took place nearly a decade after Russia took over Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.

That actual number is 52 percent.

Why it matters?

Putin (who is a full on dicatator with fake elections) is teaming up with America's new God King authoritarian oligarchy to force Ukraine to have an election as a condition to cease fire.

What's wrong witht that? Duh. 

Russia will exploit the situation to try to rig the elections towards a Putin puppet as it has done successfully multiple times elsewhere.

Putin doesn't need to actually occupy all of Ukraine.

Having a Putin puppet regime there making Ukraine a slave state of Moscow also serves it purposes.

How about forcing Russia to have an ACTUAL election?

 

What's going on now with the "peace" negotiations highlights what's going to happen with NATO in general.

If Putin invades a Baltic country, will Trump respect Article 5?

If Putin invades a friendly to Putin state like Hungary and Hungary accepts it, what would NATO do if the invaded government doesn't care?'

Is it only a matter of time until Trump pulls the U.S. out of NATO entirely?

They have plenty of experience with drones and sniper rifles.

Why would you love this idea? If the United States were to weaken its support for Ukraine and other democratic nations in the face of Russian aggression, it would indeed create a perception of impunity for authoritarian regimes, and potentially encouraging China to invade Taiwan. The idea of global stability is built on the assumption that nations will respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other nations. I had to sell my Sako TRG-S because I was too fat to go prone, but the last time I tried, I put a mag full of 5.56 out of an M4 with ACOG COM offhand at 100 yards so there is the distance for your Ukrainian allies you got 700 extra yards.

 

I used to have one of these, they still use them in the Ukraine. A little finicky with OAL on the ammunition and twisted for military 150s so that you lose stabilization at long ranges with things like the 190 Bergers. But this pig was for younger guys to schlep around.

In fairness to the Hill, they do publish articles by Joe Concha and Jon Turley, so there are some intelligent articles once in a while.

I really wonder if the convicted felon is just too stupid, or complicit in promoting Russian efforts to conquer the world.

Trump is correct, Zelensky won on a campaignto bring peace to the region, the neo Nazis, Azov and US and other outside intersts had different ideas. Now Ukraine is indebt to US. Its farm land sold off to foreign corporations. Putin controls the mineral rich East.

All in all a total F up of his country which was started by Victoria Nuland who was part of thuse that orchestrated the coup in 2014.  Nobody expected Trump to win and now its thrown a massive spanner in the whole corrupted operation.

 

Some of us said this from the start but the 🐑🐑 here wouldn't listen. 

It wasn't a full scale invasion at all, it was concentrated on specific areas in the east where ethinc Russian were being attacked and murdered.

There no reason why Zelenski should be forced by another nation / leader to hold an election.

 

It is valid that the Ukraine people might pressure him to hold elections, if they so wish.
