I am actually now getting ready to buy. The algos are shaking the weak hands out and people selling out of fear always make for good buying opportunities. It was like this back when he was tweeting about tariffs. Sucks if you are old and don't have time left to do anything but volatility is what creates chances to build. Go buy some NVDA at $110 and thank me later.

Most people sitting on a big pile of cash right now, waiting to time a major crash, likely already missed out on the last three years of gains when the S&P tripled from its 2020 low. Either that, or they were among the rare few who sold everything at the top when Trump took office in January and they are now sitting on those profits and flush with cash. But let’s be honest, very few were smart enough to sell at the top, although it was an obvious time to exit the market. So my bet is, for those sitting in enough cash right now to make good use of a crash now, it was the former.

It’s funny to listen to the gloom and doom from these people.

I've just been told that Trump wants to re-introduce slavery.

I'm very concerned.

Vice President Joe Biden caused a stir on Tuesday with remarks in which he referred to people being put "back in chains" if the Republican ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan wins

It’s the normal hyperbolic rhetoric  from the lefties.

Crashes are great. Lets hope so.

Great exactly for what Forrest? For some of us, a buying opportunity. For the likes of yourself, your $10 holding might dip to $5 and very little you can do about it. Better hold on to those 7/11 coupons Bignok.

At one time he preferred to go by the name Susan. But that was after he divorced from Dolf.

You are overlooking the artist (and I use the term very, very loosely) previously known as Sparktrader and Bignok. I have probably missed one or two other previous posting names. I'm sure you are aware that these posts will be deleted come morning but it's worth it even if 1 or 2 take heed.

In fact, I have just noticed that one of the more liberal and jovial Mods is 'lurking' as I type this but I appreciate they have to put their feelings aside and do the 'right' thing.

Trump supporters always resort to off topic sarcasm, personal insults, and attacks. It is their childish way of coping with denial. Hope that helps you process things.

Meanwhile, some of us actually have a stake in this. When you are heavily invested in the markets, you cannot afford to ignore the damage he is doing to the economy. You take it seriously.

Then there are those who spend all day hiding behind a keyboard with no skin in the game doing nothing but attacking anyone who does not worship Trump as they do. It is honestly sad to watch people so blinded by loyalty that they cannot grasp the reality of the harm being caused by someone with no understanding of economics or global affairs.

If you truly want to have a meaningful discussion and be taken seriously, then stay on topic. Stop posting silly cartoons, making grand emotional outbursts, and throwing in irrelevant snide comments. Instead, try contributing something intelligent that actually addresses the real issues at hand, if you are at all capable that is.

Some of us know the worthless (from a health POV) Pandemic Lockdowns and Deficit-Spending did massive damage, causing the inflation.  If you want to be mad at Trump, let it be for his going along THAT for over a year.  But, of course, the R/Ds still in the "partisan" trick echo-chambers won't do that, because "their guys" pushed it.

As to your investments, best to buy some cover with option-hedges?  It's not like Presidents aren't just Wall St puppets (look who they hire as staff), and the last one didn't have much of a brain going, either.

Tech stocks are trading at crazy prices. Had to go down sooner or later.
