They have a lot of boxes to check to pull this off.

1. Designed for efficiency

2. Speed, and sustainability

3. Cost of Operation

4. Cost of Maintenance 

5. Affordable to Customers

6. Quiet, Comfortable, with food and drink service.

7. Time tell completion ( Last thing you want is to waste so much time building the technology and rail specifications have changed.

 

Let's all go to temple and pray they pull this off.  Especially completing the line Nahkon Ratchasima in the next 5 years.

Worth noting, nowhere in the OP article does it make any mention of when this supposed project might actually be completed.
