Funds in the bank for a marriage or retirement extension
Did not think the marraige visa needed funds from overseas, interesting question what if the wife just subs you the 400k! The income method does need the 40k+ THB/month proof from overseas. I used to SWIFT using Lloyds group straight into Krungsri in GBP and it always showed the correct code. Perhaps HSBC needs to use a correspondant bank to route it to SCB. perhaps they have a direct relationship with a different.bank which would be direct, and should show the direct swift in? (of course they could change banking relationships as their business decides.) Good idea for me to keep a file of proof I suppose. -

Boycott of US goods spreading worldwide poor donald
If you buy a Ford, many are made in Mexico. If you buy a Honda, some are made in USA. If you buy a Chevy, most of the parts are Chinese! There is no "Buy American" ... That's a catch phrase for the uninformed. it's a Global economy and people who don't understand that virtually nothing is "all made in America" are the ones who got bamboozled into thinking Donald Trump is actually going to look out for the interests of the American people. Even Donald Trumps swag is mostly made in China ... I mean Gyna! His "Make America Great Again" guitar is NOT made in America! Most of it is made in China!! -

Knife-Wielding Thief Crashes to His Death After Robbing Shop
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A man who robbed a shop owner at knifepoint met a fatal end after losing control of his motorbike and crashing into a tree stump while attempting to flee the scene. At approximately 17:20 on 19 March, rescue volunteers from the Sawang Bampen Dhammasathan Foundation in Ban Sang District received a report of a fatal motorbike crash on a dirt road in Ban Hua Don Nong Suea, Village 12, Bang Yang Subdistrict, Ban Sang District, Prachinburi Province. Emergency responders and police arrived to investigate the scene. They found the body of a man, later identified as 44-year-old Mr. Suchart Toomnak from Sa Kaeo Province, lying face down. Nearby, officers discovered a red-and-black Honda Wave motorbike without a licence plate. The deceased had a black waist bag strapped to him and a 30 cm kitchen knife tucked into his waistband. Evidence at the scene suggested that he had lost control of his vehicle, crashed into a tree stump, and was thrown approximately 50 metres from the impact. The incident followed an earlier robbery at a local shop. The victim, 35-year-old Ms. Thanirat, recounted the harrowing experience. “The man came to buy a drink at my shop. As I turned away, he moved towards the back door and started a conversation, but I noticed he was looking past me into the house. Suddenly, he grabbed my waist bag and pulled it off me. Then he held a knife to my side and demanded all the money I had.” Ms. Thanirat explained that her bag contained only her phone, some ID cards, and a small amount of cash, as she had recently taken most of her money out of it. “He told me not to scream, or he’d kill me. Then he quickly got on his motorbike and sped off.” Once the robber had left, she screamed for help. A nearby fisherman who had been casting a net rushed to assist and began pursuing the suspect on his own motorbike. Ms. Thanirat got into her car to go and alert her husband. Mr. Somronsap, 34, who witnessed the pursuit, said, “I heard someone shouting that they had been robbed, so I ran to see what was happening. I saw the thief speeding away. As he reached a bend in the road, he lost control, veered off to the left, and crashed into the trees.” The bystander immediately called emergency services but was hesitant to approach the suspect, unsure if he was still alive. A good Samaritan who had followed the suspect to the crash site later reported to the police and provided his vehicle for inspection, ensuring he was cleared of any wrongdoing. Authorities are continuing their investigation, collecting evidence from the scene and conducting a post-mortem examination at Ban Sang Hospital to determine the precise cause of death. -- 2025-03-21
