Is this the best Sunday Roast ?
Me and wife would still be hungry after that meal. Small serving of both ribs & roast. But I guess that's the going rate for AC pub on Suk rd area, tourist ghetto. I guess they didn't have any money left for beverages. Not that I would ever take the wife to that part of town anyway. As she doesn't need the condescending looks, or comments from some drunk, I might have to shove into moving traffic, as too lazy to fight people at my age -

Cambodia Reaches 99% Village Electrification Milestone
xinhua PHNOM PENH – Cambodia has connected 99% of its villages to the national power grid, marking a major achievement in its energy development, the Ministry of Mines and Energy announced on Monday. Over the past 15 years, the Kingdom’s electricity generation has increased eightfold, driven by a mix of hydropower, coal, oil, and an expanding focus on renewable sources such as solar and wind. A ministry statement highlighted plans to promote gender-inclusive employment, with new energy projects aiming for 60% female participation in construction and 50% in operations. Officials say these initiatives are boosting economic growth while improving environmental sustainability. The country’s energy transition took a significant step forward last October with the launch of a $1.34 billion gas-fired power plant in Koh Kong province. Once operational, it will be Cambodia’s largest power-generation facility. Despite these advances, Cambodia still imports electricity from Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, particularly during the dry season. The government’s Power Development Master Plan 2022-2040 seeks to reduce dependence on coal and accelerate the shift toward renewable energy. -2025-03-26 -

German Tourist Severely Beaten in Pattaya by Group of 10 Men
Safe countries by and large, I would be saying Monaco, Poland, Croatia, Norway, Iceland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Singapore, Hong Kong, Austria, New Zealand. So your post is BS. Thailand ranks 76th out of 163 countries. Even now, there are Embassy travel warnings, especially for the South of Thailand. In 30 years, I've seen plenty of unprovoked attacks by Thais on foreigners and Thais on Thais. Yes, there are plenty of stupid foreigners, and because of what Thailand offers, Sex, drugs and Rock and Roll, it goes with the territory as a holiday destination for these things and attracts this kind of people. Regards London, that is the only point you have expressed that I agree with and can be backed up as factual. -

Canadian Tourist's Warning: Assault and Theft in Pattaya Bars
I saw some stills from the video of the beatdown in Pattaya this morning. The gang of Thais look to be having so much fun as they rain down blows with feet and motorcycle helmet onto the poor guy's head. Likely they were very happy to have an excuse to attack the guy, possibly they wanted to kill him. Violence like that doesn't come out of nowhere. People should think carefully before choosing Thailand as a holiday destination.
