I am still under presumption that participation is voluntary?

Voluntary in the same way as a covid jab was "voluntary" Just make all financial transactions by way of it ( whatever it is- I'm still waiting for an explanation of the "next step" ), and be forced to use it as no cash anymore- 100% control of the sheeple. Baaaah. I'm so glad I won't be around whenever it happens.

We live in a sick world.

Dumbness doesn't prevent you from grabbing other people's money apparently.

But I don't like him nor listen to him.

I don't like him much and don't listen to him either. But he got rich being a radio star. There's no denying it.

Confusing.

What is your statement?

Smartphones wishing to be obsolete?

Smartphones getting better?

You can't stand for both, can you?

😳

Bizarre post.

Objects can't wish anything.

I clearly stated my wish -- that smartphones do not go away.

Cheers.

What is the next step? A chip in the brain?

Bugger if I do know the details.

But what all of us know is that technology marches on regardless and with AI it's clearly going to mind numbingly fast.

Wow. I thought I had become too new tech resistant.

Clearly a bunch of in denial luddites here who actually believe technology will now stand still.

Enjoy your track tapes, darlings.

Exactly. Apple will want to sell you both. Along with a Mac, iPad, AirPods, HomePods etc.

Apple has just announced a breast implant that plays music... The iTit is considered a major social break through since women have always complained that men stare at their breasts but never listen to them.

Not me. My phone is over 20 years old and does what I need- lets me talk to other people.

End of the year I'll be forced to buy a <deleted> phone as they will not support whatever makes my phone work, though I will only be using it as a phone, and no <deleted> aps.

Incredibly, the human race survived without being controlled by a machine for 50,000 years. Sadly the humans are becoming slaves to the machine. When the aliens decide to conquer us we'll be a pushover.

Have you ever heard of the Butlerian Jihad?

Good luck when the power goes off because they went green and closed the generators down and the wind didn't blow.

Just because you're lacking planning and implementation skills doesn't mean everyone else is also.

The thing that will eventually make smart phones obsolete won't necessarily be about glasses.

Let's get real here.

If this next step isn't well on it's way in 5 to 10 years does anyone in their right mind think people will be using smart phones 50 years from now?

Does that include watches?  I have an Apple Watch that can be set up with its own number.  You can go out and about with just the watch. Make calls, buy things with the Apple Wallet, etc.  It can be loaded Wirth all sorts of apps.

Thanks for the comedy post.

I can survive quite nicely without electricity if I have to. I do nothing important on the internet, and if it doesn't work I have books to read.

Next.

Of course and other than an emperor running things it's pretty much like here on planet Earth. Wars and wars and wars etc. We've even got a few candidates for the Baron position.

If you are thinking of starting a Butlerian campaign count me in.

My home is solar powered, as long as the sun shines, I have electricity.
