In a heartwarming tale of loyalty, a man walks across provinces with his Shih Tzu after a bus refused to allow the dog onboard.

The incident came to light when a Facebook user shared images of the man carrying his dog alongside a busy road under the scorching sun, aiming to catch a train from Lam Narai in Lopburi.

The post detailed that the man, along with another friend who took a bus, left Nong Phai in Phetchabun, heading to their hometown in Udon Thani. He expected to reach Chai Badan by morning, prepared to walk around 100 kilometres to reunite with his friend and board the same train.

Moved by the story, locals appreciated the man's dedication and praised the kind-hearted driver, referred to as Uncle Kai, who eventually offered them a lift to Lam Narai train station.

Social media users commended both the pet owner and Uncle Kai, with comments like "Safe travels, Nemo and owner," and expressing admiration for their bond and the good Samaritan's deed.

Uncle Kai, the owner of a palm orchard in Wichian Buri, related that when he spotted the man and his dog by the roadside, he offered them water due to the intense heat and learned about their plight.

Upon hearing they had been dismissed from their welding job in Nong Phai after just two weeks, with only 1,000 baht each as compensation, Uncle Kai decided to help them complete their journey home by giving them a ride to the train station.
