Agree above 11 is the rooftop bar I go to had a great NYE there a few years back

I was there for NYE just this year. Still great. My first address in Bangkok was at the Chi de mansion at the bottom of Soi 11.

I never saw so many great restaurants on one street in my life. And I am from Manhattan.

I could have Peruvian sushi, good Jamaican food, or an Ethiopian vegan platter, all within three minutes of each other.

I ate at above 11 bar at least twice a week.

Charcoal, a true five star Indian restaurant is in the same building. Mark Wiens has a great video of them making the world‘s biggest Nan bread.

I don´t drink but I went earlier this year with 2 people who do.  One of their cocktails is $40+ and draft beer was $20.

Plus, the place is jammed with people very uncomfortable I guess it is great if you like a Hangover movie lookie lou spot.

I think that is more than I have spent on beer in the last 10-15 years!

Hair of the Dog in Phrom Pong area - good craft beer

Havana Social at end of Soi 11

Saxophone Pub as mentioned before

Brown Sugar Jazz

Someone mentioned Chit Beer in Pak Kret, there's now Chit Hole up in CM (Chit Beer)

Any good cocktail bars in BKK?  White Rabbit in Thonglor used to be good

Most bars at Ratchada Soi 4. Wait for pissed brit and enjoy "The Show of a lifetime"

Or alternatively - 'Mericans dancing '70s style. Also entertaining.

My favorite "Coyote Ugly" at Maen Chai

Titanium bar (upstairs bar) was the coolest, literally. Made of ice. I think it has closed down though. The house band were all women.

Checkin 99 in the original location was pretty good. Excellent Philippine band and singers. Alas, also gone.

I'd say the ones with airconditioning.

Yes, definitely what is needed to keep cool!
Even better when written properly: as “air conditioning”.

Which Soi 11 would that be -  there must be thousands of these!

You surprise me guv,  anyone who's been here more than five minutes knows that if the area is not specified it will be Sukhumvit.
