There are still a lot of reworks required to configure it for the next customer. These aircraft were finished in the Chinese Completion Center so now Boeing needs to find a slot in their completion center to fit it in for the rework. It means its still a delay delivery and an impact to their check book.

 

$7bn worth of planes; offer them $3.5bn, no questions asked, see what they say.

A discount for sure. However given demand I bet it isn't that much. I guess Boeing will take a much bigger deposit in the future if China wants a plane. They should tack any cost on to any future buy from the Chinese. If they are even willing to sell to them at all going forward.

The point in my opinion is this whole debacle is purely manufactured by one Donald jhon trump the loss of contracts confidence wealth loss of revenue in 401ks loss of employment worldwide all for naught stop making excuses for this abomination of a president this cost us plenty and not only wealth btw
