The UK has been blessed with large reserves if oil, coal and gas. Not to utilise them is an act of  treachery by those wishing to bring the UK down.

Good and sensible comments from this Norwegian.  Let's hope the UK Government listens and uses common sense on this matter.

Second sentence hopefully conveys a feeling of irony to the readers...

At last one country  is not following the road to nowhere solar panels and windmill wet dream. I hope the UK takes the hint. Australia is going down the same slippery slide under the labor Government which will send the country broke.

Honestly, about 90% of norways electic production come as natural "green" energy, its waterfalls. And lot of windmills have been builds, specially kn windy western coast. Gas is not commonly used, so most is exported to european countries.

As for pollution, its said oil from north sea is "lighter" than oil from saudi etc.

Red Ed Miliband is determined to bring the UK back to the stone age on his Net Zero campaign

Costing the people of the UK high energy import costs in the future

The guy needs to be sacked as a incompetent idiot 🤡

That has no bearing on the polluting aspects of the product, it simply means that it is composed of shorter chain hydrocarbons.

Ed Miliband is an idiot. His latest crazy idea is to have differential  energy costs of the north of the UK and the south. The south being higher of course. So those on fixed national incomes living in the south, like pensioners, are screwed.

Yes the UK has large coal reserves that is why the UK imports most of the coal that it uses. The UK has no facilities to produce coke for British Steel and I believe the recent deliveries came from Australia. Can somebody point out the Ed Miliband that bulk tankers don't run on fresh air.
