Has anyone here had experience sourcing electronic products in Thailand? For me, if I buy it overseas, it should be cheaper than in my own country.

Well if you don't live in Bangkok , choice is limited . (sometimes even in Bangkok)

Yeah , yeah websites or lazada/shopee, but it is not the same as a real shop to buy things like bigger , more expensive consumer electronics.

Best place to buy consumer electronics is Bangkok.

For "big ticket" items like a new laptop, I go to regular malls, they all have the same chains, eg Banana IT or IT City. Or I just visit BigC/Lotus.

For a new phone, if you know exactly which phone you want,  it's NASA on the 4th floor of MBK (most other shops in MBK are of ill repute).

Prices not much cheaper than in many western countries, but Thailand often has a cheaper selection of products that are not for sale in eg Switzerland.

Lazada/shopee can be very good value, but also sell a lot of fake stuff.

For cheap accessories,  cables, USB hubs, no-name blue tooth speakers etc, it's Fortune town. Much cheaper than in the West.

I bought a 75" tv, 14Kg washing machine, a large fridge and air-con from Lazada,

Almost forgot the 2m x 1.4m solar panels.

How much bigger could I buy?

I was more talking about quality stereo and other good audio equipment.

The usual stuff you mention is in every homepro/globalhouse/thaiwatsadu and lazada.

It's already difficult to buy in those places for some things like aircons or fridges.

You can't tests them to hear how loud they are.
