Bangkok authorities are intensively investigating two separate shooting incidents that took place in Soi Pattanakarn 32. Efforts are underway to obtain arrest warrants for a group of suspects, numbering between 10 and 15, believed to be involved.

Metropolitan Police Bureau Chief Siam Boonsom and Deputy Chief Nopasil Poolasawat, alongside senior officers, convened on May 11 to assess the progress of the investigation. The first shooting occurred on May 9, at 12.22am, inside a motorcycle repair shop. Sukeepol, the victim, was found lying on his back. Despite CPR and rescue attempts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Adul, another individual present, sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was hospitalized. Upon return, Adul recounted a disagreement with the assailants around 10pm, which appeared to be resolved. However, the attackers returned at 12.15am, leading to the fatal event. Investigators are securing the scene for further inquiry.

The second shooting unfolded the same day around 7.50pm near a construction site by the Sirinin Residence. Payao, the victim, was shot in the leg while riding his motorcycle. After hearing a noise, he noticed blood and sought hospital assistance. Medical examinations identified a bullet wound traversing both thighs. Unfortunately, the absence of CCTV complicates case progress, leaving Payao hospitalized for monitoring.

Chief Siam and Deputy Chief Nopasil have emphasized the urgency in evidence gathering and witness cooperation to pinpoint the gunmen from the initial incident. Klong Tan Police Station is fast-tracking the arrest warrants process for implicated individuals, estimated to be between 10 and 15.

Forensic teams are tasked with analyzing the bullet trajectory from the second case. While both incidents occurred in the same area, they are believed to be unrelated. Authorities underscore the necessity of collaboration between investigative units, inquiry teams, and addressing personnel shortages to bolster surveillance of high-risk zones. Their focus is maintaining public safety and swiftly resolving these cases.
