A Mexican navy tall sailing ship hit the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday night – and a search and rescue operation is underway to pull people out of the murky waters, according to fire officials and sources.

The one of the towering 147-foot masts on the Cuauhtémoc — which was carrying about 200 people on board — collided with the bridge before 9 p.m., sources told The Post.

Victims are being transported to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and those in critical condition will be taken to the hospital for additional treatment.

Sources said two people are in critical condition, with others wounded.

Fascinating videos on YouTube showing that the ship was being escorted by a tug, and was going into the bank at about the same time as it hit the bridge.

Here's an admittedly crappy screenshot.  It's worth a search on YT.  Lots of videos from different angles.

I wonder what Trump did wrong this time?

I'm sure we'll soon find out.

No worries, the administration will claim the tugboat was crewed by DEI hires from biden.

Oops ... well that should have never happened.   What's with the 'search & rescue' ?  Did a few cadets jump overboard to avoid falling debris ?

Since sailors, one would expect they know how to swim.

147 foot mast, usually doesn't fit under a 127 foot 'low tide' clearance of the Brooklyn bridge :coffee1:
