First 90 day in-person reporting - are the rules different for it?

Sorry to raise this again. But can someone advise me on my personal circumstance?

 

I have a Non-O Retirement extension and my first in-person reporting is due next week. However, I went to Vietnam earlier this month for a holiday and came back last week. Since I am now back in-situ within the first 90 days of this new extension, am I expected to still attend that first in-person 90 day report at Immigration next week? I am aware that the 90 day clock starts again upon any re-entry from a trip abroad. But I'm wondering, specifically, about the very first in-person report since I am now back in time, should I go, or ignore it and start a re-count? Any advice? Cheers.

Ignore the old 90 days Report Schedule, your new count has started with the latest arrival in Thailand.

Just note that it will be in person when/if you reach your "new" due date.

Depending on .... LOCAL OFFICE POLICY.... You might have to file a NEW TM-30 since you were out of country - even returning to same address.

 

As to 90 day reports, if YOU are PHYSICALLY in the country 90 straight days you must file the TM-47. Many offices will let you do up to 5 days early.

 

You DID have a re-entry permit to keep your extension valid?

TM47 in person can be done up to 2 weeks prior to due date and one week past due date.

I know this doesn't answer your question.  But my first 90-day report had to be done in person.  My online submission was rejected.  However, my past two 90-day reports have been successfully submitted online since then.

As people pointed out your 90 day "count down clock" starts when you stamp back into the country and your next 90 day report is due 89 days from the date you stamp IN to thailand

Just so we are clear, since the last update of the TM47 online reporting system more and more people who are trying to report online after coming back from abroad are getting the email saying their report was rejected with this message

Thanks, yes have re-entry visa. Also landlord has given me the password/username to do the TM30 myself. Haven't tried it yet, but also have the new TM30 from landlord following return from Vietnam.
