Finally some good news. Blow that (Crimean) bridge up, President Zelensky. That should ruin Putin's day/week/month!

Germany and other allies lift restrictions on Ukraine firing long-range missiles after Russia’s record aerial assault.

"Germany and other Ukrainian allies have lifted restrictions on Kyiv firing long-range missiles into Russia for the first time, the German chancellor said Monday, after days of Russia bombarding the capital and other regions with massive aerial attacks.

“There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine,” German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said at a European forum in Berlin on Monday. “Neither from the British, nor from the French, nor from us. Nor by the Americans.”"

Hope the Germans dont come crying when Russian missiles respond in kind in Koln and Berlin then.

This would trigger a NATO respose.

And Germany doing this unprovoked blasting of long range missiles deep inside Russia(the topic of this thread) would not trigger an automatic Russian response? Germans learned nothing from their 1940s whalloping.

You are not thinking this through. If Putin stated he was going to give Russian long range missiles to xyz group/country for xyz group/country to shoot into Germany, do you think Germany would blame Putin 100% or not at all?

Id say it matters not a jot if the German missiles are fired deep into Russia from German soil, a warship, Ukrain territory. Totally irrelevant. It is an unprovoked attack by Germany on Russia, and is a VERY dangerous move.

Well, that's probably not correct. As far as the media in Germany has reported
(following the leaked call between some high ranking military officers),
the operation of (at least) the Taurus missiles is not possible without
the direct involvement of the Germans.
So, if the Bundeswehr is involved on the ground, there's a good chance that
Russia will define Germany as a party to the war.
This was probably also the reason why the former chancellor blocked the delivery of Taurus.

I hope these missles are fired deep ito Russia and cause great harm.   The USA gave Ukaine the green light to strike into Russia.  There is nothing Putin can do about.  If NATO gets ito the war, Russia is done.

Ahhh ya left out the part about Putin invading his neighbor…..emptying his prisons arming the inmates to burn loot rape and kill the Ukrainian people……the Europeans are not like chamberlain (in 1939) they know what Putin is about, they don’t want a repeat of 39 to August of 45.Putin is no fool he’s having enough trouble trying to murder Ukraine he doesn’t want to take on nato.
