The Corrections Department has refuted rumours that singer Sek Loso performed at an outside concert today, confirming he remains incarcerated.

Reports had suggested his release for a concert on 4th June 2025, yet no formal request was submitted to the department. Sek Loso, classified as a middle-grade prisoner, continues to serve his sentence at Min Buri prison, with inmate classifications reviewed biannually.

The rumour originated from a post by a family member of Sek's wife on social media, but the Corrections Department spokesman clarified on 4th June 2025 that no such arrangements were approved.

Privileges for middle-grade prisoners, such as the opportunity for outside work leveraging special skills, are assessed twice a year, contingent on having served at least one-third of their sentence and having made significant public contributions.

The 2020 Corrections Department regulations govern the selection of inmates for work outside prison, aiming to assist with rehabilitation and societal reintegration, provided the inmates exhibit good behaviour and meet specified criteria.
