there must be a better way. Any recommendation? can i do this with agency online? what would be the cost? pls help

Did you ever get a 60 day visit wife extension?  Might be possible to buy the time you need.

Agents don't like marriage extensions.

Otherwise the best idea is to leave the country when your current entry expires, apply for a new non-O, enter on that then start a new extension at the end of the 90 day entry.  Vientiane would be a good place to go.

when my wife called them they didn't give me that option maybe because i used up that 60 day extension to marinate money first time i came here (married in thailand)

Correct. You can only do that once from your previous Non O.

Ok so that leaves options outlined above.

Agents will not do an extension based on marriage. However not sure of how your office operates.

Ask them for agent contact.

You are in a spot.

You can border bounce and enter visa exempt in order to obtain new Non O marriage or obtain a Non O eVisa at somewhere such as Vientiane.

Possibly bounce best option for your situation.

that's very helpful DrJack54 thanks , one more question about border bounce . Do i need to pay reentry permit on my current visa or do i skip it and this  way i get visa exempt??
or does my visa has to be already expired when i am in Laos?
any border office can grant visa exempt? i am only 2 hours from Laos border

You would exit without reentry permit.

You will be stamped back into Thailand with 60 day stamp.

Which border crossing would you be using.

the closest one from phetchabun i guess?

Phetchabun is a province.

Surely you know border crossing options from where you live.

Nong Khai to Vientiane is close by.  And don't be tempted to swim the Mekong, that's reserved for locals only.  Easy to get a new non-O there.  And a nice place for a short break.

You should also consider that a border bounce to Laos might/will require you to stay 2 nights out of Thailand. All the more reason to make a proper job of it and get your non-O there.

Haven't read recent reports from Nong Khai.

Few weeks ago they were requiring couple of night stay.

@Tod Daniels may update current "rules" + advice.

Given your immigration office suggested "visa run" that's probably a lost in translation.

Most likely a border bounce.

You only need the 400k in bank on day of application for the Non O at your immigration office.

Most likely not a busy office?

It's an option.

BTW: If asked about reason for bounce at border I would say I messed up with bank money.

well i am learning that visa run not the same as border bounce anyway trip to border was mentioned. Local immigration might be playing chess and offer  convenient $$ solution later.
the 400K at the day of renewal of non O has to rest on account for 2 months. problem is i had it below 400k and by the time of renewal it would only be like 40 days old... so yeah big problem

You are not understanding.

If apply for new Non O at immigration then the 400k only needs to be in bank day of application..

That will give you a 90 day stamp.

In last 30 days apply for 12 month extension.

Doubt local immigration can help as extension marriage go to regional headquarters.

Your can ask by all means

Of course it has to be an 'official checkpoint' because you need to stamp OUT of thailand, in&out of another country then back in to thailand to get a free 60 day entry stamp

This is an OLD topic but it appears to be the closest land border crossing to Phetchabun province.
