Cameroni reveals a profound failure to grasp this essential reality.

While I wholeheartedly endorse measured responses, there is an equally dangerous risk in under-reacting - one that perpetuates harm and deepens trauma, a nuance he evidently fails to appreciate.

He's missing the point entirely, but he also risks enabling the very damage he seems blind to...

And that thinking allows them to continue unabated. Doing this to schoolgirls is a despicable act, and he needs to be held accountable now before he thinks trashing women is okay, as many of his fellow countrymen believe. Girls have it hard enough being the subject of a high percentage of molestation at schools here. It's one major reason I'll be leaving with my own daughter as soon as possible.

So what you're saying is that all of the women haters on this forum used to cut and paste porn pictures of their classmates using the Sears catalog ?  The nerve !

At 15, a girl's reputation is her social currency – respect, dignity, and trust among peers.
Being sexualised by AI fakes shatters that fragile identity in the most public, humiliating way.

Hardly. If she built up sufficient respect, dignity and trust among peers, those peers would recognize that those pics are just fake and it would not have a great impact on her reputation among her "peers".

My response towards you isn't sanctimony... its direct judgement of the depravity of your thought process !

Did I digitally asssault you perhaps?  Lol. You are so full of it. You couldn't judge me if your life depended on it. What depravity? Talking about fake AI images of things that never happened?  Oh yes, shocking depravity there. lol.

No - the girls faces are not faked, they were superimposed on the images of naked women using AI to 'merge' the image i.e. like photoshopping a face onto something else.

Yes, I know how it works, thanks, but those girls never engaged in those acts, so what was depicted never ever happened. It's like fantasy.

It feels like I'm in a real life fairytale where everyone is saying the emperor is wearing clothes and I'm the only one seeing reality.

The trauma of seeing your face on pics depicting acts you were never involved in. Yeah, I think they'll get over it.

You clearly have some moral disconnect if you want to ruin a 15 year old boy's life, have him expelled from school and involve police, for a fake nudie pic depicting acts that never happened as depicted.

13 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

IF you had a 15 year old daughter and this happened, and you found out it had been happening to others all year and nothing had been done about it. If you found out it had happened previously with a 'minor slap on the wrist'.... would you be arguing so forgivingly ?

Obviously not, repeat offences warrant harsher punishment. By which I mean school sanction btw, not CIA waterboarding.

14 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

Forgive the gaslighting: but perhaps you think a 'boob grab' at school is also just kids messing and only to be dealt with by a slap on the wrist ?

Let's not conflate this with a REAL act. This boy did not such thing. He merely created digital art.

Maybe in Crazyland.

This is another link showing that bullying, which this could be construed as, can lead to suicides in teens, especially seeing as more than 20% of teens consider suicide. The reasons for this are many, and embarrassment and bullying are two of them. Teens are just starting to learn their identities, and too many things going wrong can send them over the edge.............https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5656560/,

I quote from proven research and studies. Opinions or "manufacturing" mean nothing, so I don't use them. I posted the links for a reason, as some here don't have the knowledge on this subject to comment on it, although they might think they do. Embarrassing is a form of bullying. And yes, I'm upset when teens, and especially girls, as I have 5, are mistreated, as all humans should be, especially if they call themselves men.  Always pays to research before replying.............https://medlineplus.gov/bullyingandcyberbullying.html

As an addendum to my previous reply............

What is cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is bullying that happens through text messages or online. It could be through emails, social media, forums, or gaming. Some examples are:

  • Posting rumors on social media
  • Sharing embarrassing pictures or videos online
  • Sharing someone else's private information online (doxing)

No, actually it shows you know little about the subject, while I have experience in it. This is what you said first,..........."So what you're saying is that all of the women haters on this forum used to cut and paste porn pictures of their classmates using the Sears catalog ?  The nerve !", which has nothing to do with what I've said. .......Then you disputed my reply,  "So now you're manufacturing things to be upset about.
It either is or it isn't. This isn't", and were proven wrong, as I wasn't "manufacturing" anything but telling it like it is. This shows you're ignorant on the subject at hand. But keep coming back in those various usernames, because I'm not the only one who gets a kick out of it. This is what's been over your head for a long time.

It was also humor, mixed with some sarcasm, which past right over you. Take a deep breath, its not that serious.

Try thinking before you reply . Assuming like a few others here, who coincidentally, all act the same. And what's amusing, all stick up for each other, not realizing you're dealing with older adults here, yet respond like clueless teenagers. That again, is what's over your head. Try reading the link on cyberbullying, and then, maybe, you might understand why I said bullying can be construed as what this boy is doing.

What you dismiss as harmless “fun” worthy of a mere slap on the wrist has rightly been recognised in the examples I provided - by both a school and the police - as serious, damaging, and deserving of a firm, proportionate response.

(expulsion from school).

You seem to believe you’re the lone voice of reason in some warped fairytale. In truth, you’re the one lost in fantasy - because only someone utterly detached from reality could look at the sexualised targeting of underage girls and call it a prank that they'll get over.

... And as for your claim that this is being “conflated with a real act”: this was a real act. A deliberate attempt to humiliate, sexualise, and publicly defame a child. Fake or not, the intent and the damage are real. If they'd pasted her face onto a pornographic cartoon, the harm wouldn’t be theoretical - the bullying, the mockery, the trauma would still be painfully present and it was so repeatedly for over 20 girls while nothing was done about it...  hence it the issue snowballed and reached social media.

You’re not splitting hairs, you are not the voice of reason... You are are excusing abuse....

Oh I know. Indeed pretty much every country has passed these laws that criminalise artistic representations of porn, long before AI become fashionable. Now with AI it seems to have gone completely overboard, 7 years in jail in S Korea. Are you telling me this is a proportionate and measured punishment? To lock a boy up for 7 years if he made some porn with AI that is not even real?

12 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

By "sexual targeting" you mean the digital creation of fake images showing acts that never happened in real life, correct? I never said that was a "prank". But of course they will get over it.

13 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

It's not a real act like a physical assault. It's a thought crime, that fantasizes and creates an AI image of things that never happened in reality. Which causes no physical harm whatsoever.

14 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

Among 15 year olds, as among most children, attempts at humiliation and defamation are sadly the norm, as you well know.

14 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

No, it's not. There is no real physical harm. At most there is some annoyance, embarassment, some psychological discomfort of a passing nature.

16 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:

Not at all. This was not physical abuse. This was an AI photo showing things that never happened. Nor am I "excusing" it, I'm merely viewing it in a proportionate way, without the white knight hysteria some have put on display here.

Going back to my earlier comment:  << if it has to be explained to you then you'll never get it anyway >>

You just don't get it...

Perhaps try the same thing yourself... This time using the PM and post the image publicly on social media and see how your "things that never happened" argument holds up...

Yah, I think your moral compass is a bit defective if you want to say expulsion from school and a police record is a fitting punishment for what this boy did.

You'd do well to think at all. The Law doesn't allow for people like you to construe anything in this case. It's either illegal or its not. Your opinion or anyone else's about what he did don't matter, even if it made you uncomfortable.

Since its not then this is just mental masturbation for you
