Authorities in Phuket are on the hunt for two foreigners who severely assaulted a security guard after he advised them not to urinate in front of a shopping mall.

The incident has sparked public outrage following a post by "Phuket Times" on social media, describing how two foreigners ignored warnings from a security guard in Patong, leading to the guard being violently attacked.

Despite another security guard intervening, the aggressors fled the scene, leaving the victim hospitalised and unconscious.

Lieutenant Visanu Chumee, an investigator from Patong Police, confirmed reports from the victim, 18-year-old Ruslan Uma, related to the incident on 7th June 2025.

Ruslan was performing his duties when he encountered the foreigners urinating near the mall. After he intervened, the first foreigner punched him twice in the face and slammed him to the ground. Another foreigner joined in the assault before both fled.

Following the attack, Ruslan was encouraged by investigators to undergo further medical examination at Patong Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. His condition has stabilised, although he remains under observation due to head trauma.

Ruslan’s sister expressed her distress over the attack and is urging the police to apprehend the culprits swiftly. She revealed that doctors have found internal bleeding in Ruslan’s brain, necessitating further tests and highlighting the gravity of his injuries. She hopes for a thorough legal response to the incident.

More unhinged foreigners in Thailand. poor little boys, didn´t know how to use a regular toilet. Should be dumb test before entering an airplane.

What are they supposed to do after starting peeing, agree, tie a knot in it to stem the flow and walk to a public bathroom to resume? Stupid security guard.

Good to see the outrage is back.

Urinating in public is against the law, although millions do it here. Doing it in such a public place is uncalled for. There are always places you can find that are away from public view. The guard was doing his job. Getting punched was assault and that means jail.

The problem is the assault (their mistake) but if you got to go you got to go....

Now everyone here who is thinking I'm wrong about you will understand more. My friends and I don't target the innocents. I don't stick up for anyone who does this, and never will. What I have sense enough not to do is trash foreigners and think there are so many like this because some act like this, and not fail to understand it's still, and always will be, locals that do 99% of the crimes here.

80 Baht an hour, got to ask yourself was this job worth the kicking?

Keep it coming, as you haven't the sense to restrain yourself. I attack no one. I point out prejudiced , ignorant generalized comments on foreigners. You can't hide what you say, nor what you've already said, nor can you stop. It's you and that'll never go away. I think you're assuming others here aren't intelligent enough to spot certain personality types. You're wrong there. That you have friends is possible, but I'm thinking they're just like you, and just like those other 5 or 6 here.

You attack me at times

The attacker actually does know a martial art, I am guessing Judo or JiuJitsu + some boxing.

at 6 seconds he did a very dangerous take down that could have killed the guy if his head were to be smashed in the floor.

what an AHole, he gonna get his ahole kicked in jail for sure.

No, I respond to comments that most find offensive, as you can see with other's replies and emojis. When you make decent replies, I don't comment or add any emojis. the same for everyone else.

Rich white punks beat a poor hapless migrant for doing his job.

I judge people by their actions. You moved to Issan without any research. Only a dumb person would do that. A smart person would spend 3 months in the area first. Then you bore everybody with endless long posts. You remind me of a woman who thinks she knows everything.

Are you a female then.........?

I have lived in Isaan for many years, so perhaps you can tell us all what is wrong with it instead of slagging folk off for actually living there.  🙄

Go for it, I can't wait, but I reckon you will not reply, eh, sweety..😘

Very cruel.  Just a kid, really.  Probably small, and outnumbered.

You keep changing your story. You said you met your wife in Issan. She got pregnant. She was a nutter. Now you live there. So no research on the woman or Issan. You're a fool for sure.

I've never told anything but the truth. That you forget things is on you. Yes, I met my girlfriend in Isaan. I came back a few times and married her, she got pregnant, didn't want (then) to move to the states, wanted to be around her family, most of whom she hates, and stays away from as much as possible. I moved here, built a house. She is a nutter, so I divorced her for valid reasons. I live here because I'm planning to leave as soon as I can relocate with my daughter back home. Now take  notes so you don't forget again.

Maybe time Patong considered adding a public toilet to the area.

Crazy idea though I guess.

And it's obvious why you two stick together. But I'm thinking you miss that too. Beavis and Butthead come to mind.
