In a significant crackdown on illegal arms trafficking, Crime Suppression Division officers have successfully dismantled an online weapons trafficking ring that distributed firearms through courier and mail services. The operation, dubbed "Operation Endgame: Bullet Express," culminated in the arrest of twelve suspects and the seizure of 23 firearms and more than 31,000 rounds of ammunition.

The campaign, which commenced on March 21st, targeted several locations across Bangkok and various provinces. Among the key suspects apprehended was a man identified as “Ritchai,” who, despite holding a legitimate license to own and carry firearms, allegedly played a dual role as both a buyer and distributor within the network.

Ritchai reportedly purchased firearms legally and then facilitated their resale online, shipping them to customers using private courier services to evade police scrutiny. This method of distribution highlights the increasing use of digital platforms and logistics networks by illegal operators seeking to circumvent law enforcement.

During the raids, authorities confiscated a wide array of weaponry, including six semi-automatic pistols, five single-barrel shotguns, five single-barrel .22 calibre rifles, a revolver, a homemade gun, and an astonishing 31,538 rounds of ammunition. This haul underscores the scale and reach of the illicit operation.

The successful takedown of this trafficking ring reflects ongoing efforts by Thai authorities to combat illegal arms sales, particularly as they adapt to the evolving tactics employed by traffickers who misuse legitimate infrastructure to further criminal activities. The operation underscores the importance of vigilance and the coordinated action required to effectively disrupt such dangerous networks.
