Why do I need to elaborate on something that was clearly reported in the OP?...

"...investigations revealed his real trade was in supplying cocaine to foreign nationals"   so it's not very likely that he was set up by a Thai purchaser, is it?

So the Thai police who arranged the sting utilised the service of a non Thai to facilitate the purchase?

You stated that he didn't sell to Thais. But he could have been selling to a Thai as part of this sting? And may have well done so in the past as to not find it strange that he suddenly had a Thai customer?

Not a very good business man buys it for 2,500 to 3000 baht per gram but sells 2 grams for 5,000

All the math in this article is drug dealer math.  Nothing adds up.

uthorities arranged for an undercover agent to purchase 2 grammes of cocaine for 5,000 baht.

As an aside, while I no longer dabble in cocaine, it is very common in Bangkok and around Thailand. 2500 per gram is very much pre, pre-covid pricing. 3000 baht (up to 4000 for quality is much more the norm, and price breaks really don't happen until you purchase 3,5 or more grams.

the numbers are also ridiculous. 424 grams at 2.5k a gram certainly adds up to more than half a million baht.

You said exactly that same about cannabis last time.

Don't the two often go together?

How many children have thousands of baht to buy a tiny packet of a gram of coke?

Not what I'm talking of.

The kids' lives are affected when their mothers, fathers, siblings or whoever get addicted to these damned drugs.

So in some way they are 'killed' because their lives are destroyed by proximity to addiction.

I know, and what I said stands in both cases.

If not direct kills then indirect.

Marihuana is a gateway drug.

Hundreds of thousands of kids in Canada are so fxxcked up on it. Lots of psychotic breaks causes by it.

Pot ain't a harmless drug.

Gov't doesn't care because they are raking in tax revenue.

Ppl should stick to clean drugs -  like alcohol, tea, coffee and dark chocolate.

OK, then now its in practically sold over the counter in every second shop in Thailand why havent all the kids become 'hooked' on it and now moved on to be meth heads?

Pot is harmless, i'd question  your claim of 100000+s having psychotic breaks.

I'd hazard a guess you have never touched drugs in you life, nobody that has would say such nonsense, especially about cannabis

We agree to disagree?

Pot is certainly not harmless in my observation.

I never said hundreds of thousands had psychotic breaks.  I said hundreds of thousands are messed up on pot  - addicted to it, but not necessarily psychotic because of it.

One needs to find only 1 white crow to disprove the idea that only black crows exist.

Only 1 needs to have graduated to crystal meth to prove my point.

indeed.

because alcohol isn't a gateway drug or destroyer of lives at all.

Especially so if he's cutting Coke and not hair.

What's the mark up that seems quite expensive already. Hello bang Kwan this is Mike calling.....you got my spot on the floor ready.

You don't seem to be familiar with how it works for Germans. He will wake up at 6 AM, and make sure that he has placed his rag on a prime spot on the floor reserving his new bed space.

The practices of German visitors are well documented. There was an informative PSA on this some years ago.

No I did not miss it. My example draws upon the extensive anthropological research done into German behaviour when they are  in a foreign land.  Behaviour anthropologists have called this Pon Farr. The loose translation is that they lose their emotional control as they search for a safe space. One must take great care as they can demonstrate superhuman strength when they seek out their space.
