June 20, 20251 yr Popular Post No dinner for a couple of years now. 14-15 hour daily fast. Not noticed any health benefits but now getting older and less active so don't need the calories of three meals. Much prefer a substantial breakfast and light lunch.
June 20, 20251 yr Popular Post An earlier dinner gives you a good amount of time to digest your food and allows your blood sugar to properly rise and fall after dinner. So, you’re not going to bed with a full belly or skyrocketing blood sugar. In fact, people who eat an earlier dinner often report better sleep.
June 20, 20251 yr Also eating or eating too much before sleep has a higher chance of causing sleep apnea.

I'm already following the intermittent fasting regime, having finished eating by 6pm. But I was getting annoyed at having to make multiple trips to the bathroom at night. Not anymore. My fasting now includes drinking of any kind and now I only need to pee once during the night. I do occasionally feel dehydrated when I wake up to pee, in which case just a small sip of water, maybe half a glass, is enough to see me through the night. As mentioned by @newbee2022 above, my sleep is much improved.
June 20, 20251 yr Popular Post I eat three full meals a day, drink 3-5 liters of tea or water every day (I confess I do pee often during the day but not at night,) and drink a large mug of tea in the evenings. I go to sleep around 11:30, fall asleep almost instantly (which really pisses off my wife,) and wake up with the sunrise. At 78, this works well for me.

Because of my obesity, 108kg, I started this 8/16 also called intermittent fasting almost a year ago and I am now at 99kg. It's going down slowly but it's working. I hope to become handsome again next year . . .
