I often cycle at 0300am until 0630 - 0700 am and two croissants would just be a teaser to breakfast.😉 Felt You shouldnt eat or exercise within 3 hours before bed. So exercise and eating at 10.30pm means sleeping at 2am. Your breakfast idea makes more sense. 1 5

I wasn’t shocked as much as just disgusted. I thought briefly about following him, but didn’t. No idea what he was on possibly drugs, not acting normal at all. He probably thought you were gay and was trying to make a move. Some locations become known as gay meetups where gay guys do gay stuff together. Not really anything to worry about. 9 hours ago, falangUK said: Now I’m wondering what I should do. Should I have reported it to the police? Or to whoever manages the 700 Years Stadium area? Is it even worth reporting something like this? It’s hard to know whose responsibility it is. Forget about it and move on with your life. Possibly look into the fact that you may be a little homophobic. 1 1

NorthernRyland Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago That may be known location and time for gay cruisers. Chiang Mai is feeling really gay these days. I'm constantly asking my wife if she thinks people are gay or not, men and women. Maybe it's all those fancy cafes with the expensive croissants turning the kids gay? 😂 I used to live next to a park in the US where they would do this too. It was annoying and seeing used condoms on the grass everyday and every so often I'd having something vulgar said to me. Goes with the territory I guess. 1

CM seems like most Thai cities. 10 to 15% are gay everywhere. The Old City has a 1000 tourists and lots of cafes. Never seen gays hugging random people. In my wife's village shop there's a ladyboy behind the counter. In Khon Kaen I've been served by ladyboys. Thailand has lots of gays. Who is surprised by this? 2

It's probably more just metro-sexualism and people from Bangkok moving there. If you put a man in enough cute little cafes and glitzy malls with expensive designer tea drinks they start to become a little gay. CM is probably 10X gayer than the nearest regional towns like Lamphun or Chiang Dao. 1

Yesterday I was shopping (for far too long) with my GF, her sister plus two teenage females. Spent a considerable amount of time in the female clothing department and by the time we got home I was pretty sure I had become a Tranny. 2

Perhaps he's jogging for muscle exercise and aerobic conditioning? When many people exercise, weight loss has little to do with their motivation. I'm thinking he jogs to earn those croissants. Some exercise just so they can eat and "get away with it". As to the OP, maybe he never touched a foreigner and just wanted that experience. Next time check for your wallet, as hugging is one of a pickpocket's methods. 2

Do you talk to them, asking if they're gay, take a poll or just assume, because the majority of gay people aren't overtly showing it?

Have you ever been to Thailand? Exercise after 8.30pm is daft. Lots of gays work 7/11 and driver apps. They are obviously gay, including lesbians. Most Thai gays are fairly open. You don't know much about Thailand. 2 2

I was asking you specifically about what you think you know about gays in a certain area, and that straight people don't run after 10:30, which is just your assumption and false, as all types of people run at all times of day and night. The truth is, you go by surveys and then make assumptions about them in general. I actually knew quite a bit about Thailand decades before I moved here, and it has been proven since to be true and worse than what I heard. Some act obviously gay and aren't. many, actually most, don't act overtly gay and if they didn't go to gay hangouts, you would never know.
Sandboxer Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Any reaction short of a kick in the nuts makes you a homo too. Use of the word "unsettling" is a first clue. 2

Eating croissants and hanging out with sweaty men sounds gay. 4 1

Actually it's pretty easy to sleep after aerobic exercise, especially if you're a morning person and not a night owl. Straights have sex all hours of the day, as do gays. I worked out in gyms 50 years, around sweaty people all the time, and made many friends there. Gay has nothing to do with it, and croissant eating doesn't make you gay. I've known many gay people in my life that weren't openly showing it, especially in public areas. Things don't just sound gay. They are or they aren't, and most of the time in public you will never know it. 3
