Devastated Marine Corps Veteran Slams ‘Ploy’ Used in His Wife’s ICE Arrest

A disabled former Marine has torn into immigration officials who he claims tricked his wife ahead of her being detained.

Adrian Clouatre, 26, who served five years with the corps and describes himself as “not a very political person,” told the Associated Press his wife Paola, a 25-year-old Mexican national, had been seeking a green card after they got married in 2024.

Though her application initially progressed smoothly, she soon learnt Immigrations and Customs Enforcement had issued a deportation order against her back in 2018, after her estranged mother had failed to appear for an immigration hearing.

Why couldn't he have married an American wife or a legal immigrant in the first place? Does this ex-Marine think he's got some special entitlement?   As a professional wrestler I knew once said, "You can't make an omelet without breaking legs." So, it's just too bad. This kind of thing sends a very clear message to illegals: Get Out!!!

Notwithstanding that, I do thank this ex-Marine for his service. But it's still no excuse.

Keep on wishing. Typical leftie behavior, desperately trying to be a victim or close to a victim.

Not a very intelligent thing to say and shows you know absolutely nothing about what is happening in the US with immigration and ICE and the illegals. Your cousins are Americans by birth or they have been granted visas based on family. Unless they are in the US illegally they have nothing to worry about. Otherwise, they should leave the country now and apply for visa based on family ties. Or they will be eventually caught and deported as you say to El Salvador or worse. I understand Florida is making a new detention center in the middle of the Everglades with tents and surrounded by alligators and pythons with limited security personnel. Perhaps they can go there hmm..

This would not be considered cruel and unusual.... there is a prison in Arizona that was all tents.

A tent prison in the US, specifically referring to Tent City in Maricopa County, Arizona, was a controversial facility known for housing inmates in tents. It was established in 1993 to address overcrowding in other jails and was known for its harsh conditions, particularly during the extreme Arizona summers.

Here's a more detailed look:

Location and Structure:

Tent City was located within the larger Maricopa County jail complex, about 10 minutes south of downtown Phoenix. It was comprised of military tents, reminiscent of those used in the Korean War, and could house up to 2,100 inmates, though it typically held between 700 and 1,700.

Conditions:

The facility was criticized for its harsh conditions, especially the extreme summer heat, where temperatures could reach 115-120 degrees Fahrenheit. Inmates were reportedly subjected to wearing old-fashioned striped prison jumpsuits and pink underwear.

Controversy:

Tent City became a symbol of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's "tough on crime" stance and was a subject of controversy due to the perceived inhumane conditions and the use of tents as a form of punishment.

Closure:

Tent City was closed in 2017, with the remaining inmates transferred to other facilities.

Why was Tent City closed?

Prisoners complained of expired food and undrinkable water. Contrary to Arpaio's claims, evidence shows that Tent City was not only an ineffective crime deterrent, but expensive as well...

The lefties will use words like concentration camps and other hints at Hitler and Trump similarities and forget about the fact it was done for many years previously in the US.

Florida pythons are not very dangerous to humans, and in any event, they can't clime wall. Alligators can't clime walls either.

Not cruel and unusual at all if they don't try to escape.

And if they did manage to escape it would not be considered cruel and unusual to shoot them in the back with a high powered rifle.
