"Not an inch to the East."

Trust us.

If James Baker did utter those words then it was not reflective of the US (and European) strategy at the time

"If you regard Ukraine as not being a country, then by the same definition used in the linked article, you cannot recognize Israel and Kuwait as countries either". Savvy?

Irrelvant, we are talking about Ukraine.

Um, no why would you think that and whats your point? Why is my non first name relevant?

IMO, Israel definitely qualifies.

Well thats a subject for you to start your own topic on. Your opinion is pretty worthless though, based on your inability to argue against the facts brought up in the OP.

As usual, the OP is attempting to spread disinformation.

well, it was a deliberate attempt to create their separate entity and plenty of Russian native speakers switched. but yes

That isnt relevant either. Russia is sh{t, so? Has it ever been anything more than a failure?

Irrelevant. But if you truly beleve that instead of just being a deflecting troll, start a topic, I would love it.

Russia is the only country on the planet that explicitly does not recognize Ukraine as a sovereign country.

There, job done.

I answered your question wrt Russia, which it was called under the Romanov's, so it is relevant.

I'm sure you can spot a trend with this poster. Every time he's proven wrong (happen a lot, obviously) he retreats behind a wall of "irrelevant", "deflection", "trolling" claims, before complaining in advance about the amount of thumbs-down emojis he's gonna get. The funny thing is, he never gets as many of those as he hoped for since nobody really gives a frack. 😆

You already lost the argument, troll. Interjecting nonsense everywhere under your troll identity LOL.

Tell us, how long has there been country called Ukraine, LOL.

So irrelevant as it may be, you are contending in an open forum that the Romanovs were anything more than a historical failure?

Wow

There are no "facts" in the OP linked article. Just a mangled version of recent history to suit the propaganda narrative of Putin.

No point of even arguing against such idiocy. I just refuse to be dragged down to that level.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Ukraine

That's longer than Russia.... Just a bunch of Mongols and Tatars....

Wow thats convincing. A Wikpedia entry LOL.

I dont think you know anyhting at all but nice try.

It might have been for the Romanovs, but it wasn't for the vast majority of ordinary Russians.

Not sure about the origins of Ukraine or just cause, but Putin doesn't want to negotiate with Zelensky because he believes Zelensky to be an illegitimate puppet of the West, which he is.

He should look in the mirror. Putin wants his own puppet to 'lead' Ukraine.
