Just have someone kick you in the nuts several times every day. Or take your six figures and burn it. Same as opening your business in Thailand as a farang. -

Of course, I’ll consult a lawyer, that’s a given. What I’m trying to do here is get a broad understanding of the topics beforehand, so when I actually meet with a lawyer, I’m better prepared and won’t be completely lost or confused. Google helps, but it’s not enough on its own. I need real back-and-forth in forums, to hear the “no’s” and the reasons why. That interaction is part of the process for me. I m doing other routes as well in real time, just for your knoweldge.. Actually, I’m planning to meet with several experts, not just one lawyer, to get different perspectives. Anyways. -

You're right. Traditional Texas chili doesn't have beans. I do make it myself with beans as I like it, but have had some killer Texas chili while living there, and can't wait to get back and indulge it, along with BBQ again. -

I need ideas as to who to go to OR where to ask for a VERY SIMPLE WILL. I was quoted $500 US
I am in Chiang Mai. Both myself and my Aussie friend had Wills drawn up (both English and Thai translation included) addressing only Thailand holdings (cost 7000 baht). Please understand that there is more to it than just the Will document. An Executor of the Will needs to get permission from the person's Embassy to take control of the body and carry out the needed service for the remains. They may need to contact the next of kin in the home country. Then the Executor needs to go to Provincial Court to be officially appointed Executor. Only after the Court document is in hand will the bank be allowed to access the funds legally. My friend passed in December last and all would be wrapped up but he owned his Condo so I am now dealing with getting it ready for sale. No complications just dealing with the legal needs so keep this in mind. -
