A woman has died after plunging from the 21st floor of a high-rise condominium in central Bangkok in the early hours of the morning of 2 July. Her body was found impacted on a fifth-floor balcony, prompting an emergency response.

The incident took place at a prominent residential tower located in one of the capital’s most prestigious districts. Security personnel contacted the emergency services at approximately 02:00 after residents reported hearing a loud sound resembling a heavy object striking the building.

Rescue teams from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and local police officers arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. The woman’s body was discovered on a ledge outside a fifth-floor unit, suggesting she had fallen from a significant height before impacting on the protruding balcony.

Police have since confirmed that the deceased is a Thai woman in her early thirties. Her identity is being withheld until her family can be formally notified.

Investigators have begun examining CCTV footage from within the building to trace the victim’s final movements. Officers are also interviewing residents, building staff and potential witnesses in a bid to establish the exact circumstances of her fall.

“There is no immediate evidence of foul play,” said a senior police officer at the scene. “However, we are treating this as an open case until all avenues are fully explored. We are not ruling out any possibilities, including suicide or accidental fall.”

Forensic specialists were deployed to the scene and the woman’s body has been sent for examination, to a local hospital.

The building’s management team has declined to comment at this stage, citing the ongoing police investigation.
