A fire broke out on the morning of 7 July, at a supermarket in the Watcharaphon area of Bangkok, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and prompting an emergency response from local firefighters.

The incident occurred at approximately 04:50 near Sathien Dhammasathan on Watcharaphon Road in Tharang Subdistrict, Bang Khen District. Officers from Bang Khen Police Station responded to reports of a blaze at the single-storey supermarket, accompanied by fire engines and rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found dense smoke and visible flames coming from inside the building. Firefighters were able to bring the situation under control within five minutes using water hoses and subsequently deployed PPV (positive pressure ventilation) fans to ventilate the smoke-filled premises.

An inspection revealed that the fire originated from a fruit refrigeration unit, which was entirely destroyed in the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage and confirm the exact cause.
