In a shocking turn of events, two Thai men were assaulted by a gang while searching for a lost wallet in Chanthaburi province. The incident unfolded at a public park near Sirikarn Pond in the Tha Chang sub-district, leaving the local community in disbelief.

Aum, 21, and his friend Kong, 24, were enjoying an evening at the park when they realised a wallet was missing. Returning to search, they encountered a group of over ten men. Seeking assistance, they approached the group, only to be met with hostility.

One member of the group initiated a confrontation, and the situation quickly escalated. Without warning, both Aum and Kong were attacked. Pleas for mercy from their female companion fell on deaf ears as the violence continued.

The attack reached a critical point when Aum was stabbed in the back and Kong was struck in the face with a hard object. Nearby witnesses acted swiftly, alerting authorities. This intervention caused the gang to scatter before police and emergency services arrived.

Aum and Kong were left with significant injuries. Aum suffered a stab wound to his back, while Kong endured a fractured nose and a severe eye injury. Thankfully, both are now in stable condition. They await medical reports to press formal charges against their assailants.

Locals expressed their concern over the gang, who have been frequently causing disturbances in what was once a tranquil park. Known for revving motorcycle engines and creating noise, their presence has become a nuisance.

Despite the disturbing nature of the attack, police have yet to track down the suspects. The investigation continues, with hopes of restoring peace to this once serene community park.

This incident raises questions about safety in public spaces and the need for increased vigilance. As the community rallies to support the victims, they also call for swift justice to deter future incidents.
