Oh look, a map!

Green normally shown as blue on all war maps is going the other way. Of course you wouldn't know this because it's reality.

  • Nope, Putin should just get out of Ukraine, it is that simple, he is Hitler 2025......🤔

  • And the east (Russia) stayed on their side of the so called line! Russia moved, NOT the west!!

  • NATO only "expanded" because the countries asked to join NATO!  Ukraine did NOT ask to join Russia, it just invaded Ukraine without being "asked"!

We, the UK, should let him know any more threats like that and we will send Russia Starmer, Rayner, Cooper and Reaves. That will make Putin change his mind.

You clearly have ZERO idea of Russias capabilities.  Your opinion is based on the western propaganda.  The truth is, Russias missiles are FAR more advances than the west, including the US.  Russias hypersonic ballistic missiles are absolutely unstoppable.  The west doesnt even have non-hypersonic ballistics...

Iran pummelling the sheeeet out of Iran through their 'iron dome' (or wet tissue dome) displayed just the small Russian missiles.

Do a bit of research.

Also, Russia is NOT the antagonist here.  If only some western leaders spoke with the statesmanship of Putin.

I've been to Russia.  Its super modern, safe (in comparison to most western countries), clean, and advanced.

Don't believe the relentless dogma.

If only some western leaders spoke with the statesmanship of Putin.

Care to elaborate on that thought?

Tried blue but it became almost invisible, General. Sorry, but I chose visibility and clarity over strict adherence to map colour coding.

I hope that didn't aggravate your already confused state.

Do you think Finland and Sweden would have been NATO members today if Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine?

What about all the expansion from 1950-2022?

Sweden and Finland probably joined because of the ukraine invasion. Does that invalidate the fact that Nato has been expanding towards russian borders for 72 years? Nato pushed russia into this war by continuously expanding over the last 3/4ths of a century and now wants to cry victim because russia doesn't want them right on their doorstep in ukraine.

So NATO should reject countries that want to join? Counties wanting to join due to a perceived Russian threat?

Did you notice the yellow colour?  It just shows you that countries ask to join NATO, as NATO does NOT invade countries to make them join NATO

Unlike Russia which invades or threatens to invade countries to make them part of Russia!!

As you admit above the countries ask to join!

NATO does not expand by invading other countries but only by countries ASKING to join and being VOTED in by all current members!

They overthrow governments that don't want to join and are friendly with russia. Stop watching whatever it is that you watch for news, it's killing your braincells.

It would be nice if everyone would take a few steps back and stop pushing each other’s buttons and feeding the war machine. If the West would just stay on the west side of the line, then maybe things would cool down.

‘Everyone’?
You mean the world rulers, those are the ones who make and seek trouble, and the ordinary citizen and soldier are brought up as cannon fodder.

Russia threatening to nuke the UK is nothing but Russian propaganda a scare tactic even without America a nuclear strike on the UK would facilitate a nuclear response from both the UK and France because due the very nature of nuclear weapons any stike on UK soil would also affect France and the UK's surrounding neighbours. I'm sure Putin is well aware of the consequences it would be devastating to the whole of Europe if not the world as the radiation spreads in the air and seas.

Am I concerned of course the fact they exist is enough to be concerned especially if the are in the hands of an unstable or unpredictable regime. Am I worried no there is no point in being worried as there is nothing I personally could do to prevent it.

Russia even though it's using modern weapons drones etc. it's still fighting the way it always has like the scorched earth policy with Napolean or the wave after wave of soldiers sent against the Nazi's in WW2 its fighting a war of exhaustion of attrition against Ukraine slowly bleeding Ukraine dry.

Putin doesn't care about how many Russians die there's always plenty more. If you liken Russia to the mafia with Putin as the godfather and the oliagarch's as the heads of the family's who have carved up and stolen Russia's wealth between them you won't be far wrong cross them defy them refuse to pay and you end up dead.

The recent NATO expansion (a purely defensive organisation) is entirely down to Putin and his imperialistic ambitions he wants to restore the USSR.

When I was in the army even though we were not actually at war we knew who the enemy was who we prepared and trained to fight against it was the The Warsaw Pact the USSR/Russia as did the US troops stationed in Germany who seen it as far preferable than being sent to Vietnam.

The fact is Putin has already lost even if he succeeds in taking Ukraine he has still lost.

The Russsian economy is weakened Russia has become more isolated Russian influence has waned and Nato's borders with Russia has doubled since he invaded Ukraine and Finland joined Nato.

European NATO members have greatly increased their defence budgets and the European defence industries are seeing a resurgence.

None of this was necessary or wanted nobody was threatening Russia it is purely down to Putin his ambitions and his supporters.

Wait the resident Communists on the forum are now whining about NATO expansion for the last 72 years, no longer about the period since 1990. Well the simple reason, personal to me, your dads wanted to kill my dad (BAOR, expected survivability in WW3, 3 weeks).

Your murderous mates attacked East Germany, Hungary, Czechoslavakia, and they were supposed to be your friends.

In 2005, Poland opened up its military archives, showing that even during period of Detente, the Soviet Union was practicing for attacks on the West. Soviet plans included one called Seven Days to the Rhine, indicating how Soviet forces were to roll up to the French border, afger reducing most of Western Europe to a nuclear wasteland. Communists have an innate disregard for human life, and its shown on this forum through the various crypto Communist sympathisers  of Russia, who ordinarily profess right wing pacifist credentials, but in reality, harbour a Soviet Stalinist view of the world. They've lived among us for many years.

The only reason they didn't succeed is due to the inherant rotteness of the Soviet system they championed and defended. Once Russian people were brave, and stood up to their oppressors. Hope it can happen again.

So Russia attacks a sovereign nation because it doesn't like what they decide for their country. Therefore, Russia needs to be defeated and Putin must go.

What "line" are you talking about?

In the minds of the Russians the line that runs down the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Lol, I think you need to lower your HRT doses, it's making you insane.

Well, it's time for someone amongst his own people to finally shoot him in the head! Someone who thinks he can launch a nuclear war, which very obviously is a war that no one can win, over a bit of territory, which in this case is in absolutely no way, shape or form worth it, is clearly unfit to lead a nation!

That has been evident for decades.

Unfortunately yes, but so far the real people in power were profiting from him. As soon as that stops, he becomes useless to them.

There is a reason no one wants to align with Russia.  Who are the Russians allied with?   Iran, North Korea?  Maybe China.
