A judge ordered the former president to pay more than $450 million, including interest, an amount attributed to "ill-gotten gains" from the scheme. The Trump Organization entities were fined $1.6 million in the 2022 case. Trump was not personally charged in that case and denied any knowledge of fraud.

August 2, 20251 yr Economist Steve Moore on Fox: During an appearance on “The Bottom Line,” Moore said that the BLS has revised its job creation numbers multiple times. The downward revisions, he added, could reach as high as 500,000. “I am also told by my sources at BLS that they are going to, you know, they do all these re-estimates over time. There’s a good sense that they may revise downward the jobs created by Biden by another 500,000 or so. So those are gigantic errors. And so I think she needed to be fired just because of incompetence,” Moore said. “I can’t really comment on that, whether she was playing politics, but what I can tell you is that she isn’t a very good estimator of the jobs because the numbers have been all over the place,” Moore said.

First estimates are often revised (up or down). It happened under Biden when someone else was in charge, it also happened under Trump 1.0. It also happened in other countries (ex. UK GDP growth) The only thing which doesn't change is that MAGAs always make lame accusations! 😆 When estimates were revised down under Biden, they claimed the Initial estimates were rigged in order to make Biden look good! And, of course, when numbers are revised down under Trump, it's because they rigged the new estimates! 🤣🤣🤣

Nimitz said "guilty of gross stupidity." --- But fortune soon turned against the Third Fleet commander in the form of two typhoons. Most destructive was the first, in December 1944, which claimed three destroyers and hundreds of men and aircraft. A court of inquiry judged that Halsey was primarily to blame, but both Nimitz and King added endorsements that largely nullified the verdict. When his fleet was caught once more by a typhoon in May 1945, Halsey again was found responsible. Nimitz decided that Halsey was guilty of gross stupidity in both typhoons, and only King’s appreciation of his past service and the expected effect on national morale saved Halsey from retirement. https://www.usni.org/magazines/naval-history-magazine/2017/october/seven-decades-debate Halsey was a great Admral. A REAL Admiral. A war fighter. Not some Tranny in COSPLAY. Not entirely his fault. Weather forecasting in 1944 was entirely different from today. Could you have done better? I doubt if you could work your way out of the scullery

August 2, 20251 yr Popular Post He must think half of the US population are idiots to pull a stunt like this. Oh wait, half of em' must be to have elected him in the first place. 1) He gives no evidence or source of data to support his claim the numbers are false, other than he doesn't like them or believe them. Baby man Trump: I don't like these numbers so they can't be true. Any data that shows my ideas are not working the way I want them to must not be true. I'm leading the government therefore the economy has to be doing better. Totally incompetent nut bag. If things go on like this and he attempts to "cook the books" of all economic status reports it will be $10/gallon gas and $15 for a dozen eggs before his MAGA nuts wake up and see this guy doesn't know what the hell he is doing.
August 3, 20251 yr Popular Post Everything Trump touches dies. He's never ran a successful business in his life, declaring bankruptcy at least 6 times. Now he's killing the US's standing as a safe haven when turmoil erupts. Nobody is going to trust any stats put out by the Trump sycophant that will replace the fired career public servant. Nobody will be buying US bonds. The dollar will tank. Buh bye USA. Hope you enjoyed your 70 years at the top.

August 3, 20251 yr As long as he's firing statisticians generating fake numbers, why doesn't Trump fire whoever is in charge of the CPI and GDP numbers? CPI is consistently underestimated/manipulated to the downside just as GDP is overestimated. That'll not happen, of course, because he likes the lies that come out of those two sets of numbers.
