Yellow Marker In Passport

Featured Replies

During my last visa run to Ban Laem, the officer put yellow marker stripes in my passport (visa stamps) and departure card.

Does anybody knows the meaning of this yellow marker? One fellow traveler told me it marks you as having a last VOA.

I can't imagine that as I had two tourist visas in a row (180 days) and had no VOA since December.

Did you consider it maybe the code for the second consecutive visa-exempt entry?

Hi,

I got a yellow plastic flag in my passport a year ago in Cambodia and have been carrying it around ever since. Don't know what it means and don't care. For me it comes in handy as I can now distinguish my passport from those of other family members in my purse. Don't worry.

It is the mark for your first visa excempt stamp, the second will have two yellow marks, when I got my third they stopped marking them :o

Mind you, I got the three stamps withing two weeks time.

Edit: actually my third had a green mark (just checked it)

You've got a flag? Can you explain how they put a flag in a passport? How long is the flag pole? Who the heck stuck a flag in your passport in Cambodia? Was it a Thai embassy or some other nations?

is it any wonder we need an entire web site devoted to Thai visa regulations if they are now sticking flags in passports?

Dank je, Sjaak (for all others Thank you).

A relieve ... makes sense. It's the first visa run in a long time ...
