Japanese tourists falls to his death from Condo on Jomtien Beach

CHONBURI: -- A 69-year-old Japanese tourist fell to his death from the 20th floor of a condominium on Jomtian Beach late Saturday night in what believed to be suicide, police said.

Police said Kawamoto Yazuya apparently jumped from the 20th floor of the 30-floor Jomtian Plaza Condotel and landed on the sixth floor at about half an hour past midnight.

His friend, Nishimoto Hirdaki, told police that Kawamoto had been staying at the condominium for over one year and he was being in the terminal stage of his lymphatic gland cancer.

Police said the man also left a suicide note.
