Then you need to read up on maritime and international law. Start with asylum snd refugee human rights. Unfortunately, the government's hands are somewhat tied, just as they gave been for successive governments.

The asylum system in the UK is totally out of control. Stopping the boats, while a worthwhile and necessary objective, would only address a small part of the overall problem.

RNLI lifeboats only respond to emergencies, and they do so when tasked by HM Coastguard.

 

Their mission is strictly humanitarian: to rescue anyone in danger at sea, regardless of nationality, immigration status, or circumstance

I'm all for people voicing an opinion. I also believe the boat crossings are out of control. I too think the government should do more.

 

However, I just don't see the point in lying or believing other's lies in order to raise tensions. That is not needed and the more lies that are believed, the less chance of any action being taken by the authorities on the real issues.
