And now you are rubbish somebody else's right to free speech.

Can you see the contradiction yet.

Nigel Farage lives in the UK, stood for an election and won a seat in Parliament.

Do you live in the UK, and did you stand in the last general election and win a seat in Parliament?

stay to the topic.

If you promise manna from heaven then you can become President in US or win a seat in UK.

Not possible in Europe.

The thread isn't about Europe. It is about the UK.

Do you need reminding

Self deleted. Double post

The irony of one of the prime architects of Brexit criticising the 'boats', when the UK is no longer able to use the Dublin Regulation as it's no longer part of the EU, thanks to Brexit. 🙄

* 3-star hotels with gyms and bars: Some hotels may have these facilities, but asylum seekers don’t choose where they stay, and conditions are often poor.

•  Free PlayStations, yoga, leisure trips: No official program provides these. Some charities offer recreational activities, but it’s not widespread or guaranteed.

•  Free driving lessons, mobile phones, theatre discounts: These are not standard benefits. A few local councils or NGOs may offer limited support, but it’s rare and not taxpayer-funded in the way implied.

•  University scholarships and free classes: Some universities offer scholarships to asylum seekers, but it’s competitive and not automatic.

* No mobile phones

Perhaps he posted it as a joke, as few take GB News seriously.

Your opinion? Well, sure you can opt for an opinion the earth being flat.

But the facts are different.

And your opinion about the migration problem is not backed by facts. It's simply RUBBISH.

But we live in a country of free speech. And everybody can spreading nonsense.

So, actually it doesn't bother me really.

A simple Question for you Newbee. If migrants are fleeing a war torn country and they decide to escape to a safe Country like Greece,Spain, France, Why do they risk drowning in the Channel to come to the UK.

Could be that they have a family connections in the UK or like many from Afghanistan and Iraq, previously worked in some capacity for the UK.

In any case far fewer asylum seekers go the UK than to Greece, Spain or France.

Apparently one of the big draws, apart from possible family ties is the language.

The benefits, as a package, in Germany and France are superior to what is on offer in the UK

As I recall, the UK is no longer in the EU.  It's a sovereign island off the European coast.

Superior to 4 star hotels, 50 quid a week, health and dental care, driving lessons, phones and entry to various historical sites? I think not. Any evidence.

The UK’s immigrant benefits system is **less generous and more restrictive** than those in France and Germany in several key areas. Here's a comparative breakdown:

---

### 🏠 **Housing & Accommodation**
- **UK**: Asylum seekers may be placed in temporary housing (often hotels or hostels), but cannot choose location or quality. No access to social housing until granted refugee status.
- **France**: Offers state-run reception centres (CADA) with more structured support. Some asylum seekers may access subsidized housing.
- **Germany**: Provides accommodation in reception centres, then decentralized housing. More integration into municipal systems once asylum is granted.

---

### 💰 **Financial Support**
- **UK**: £49.18/week per person for asylum seekers without full board. No access to mainstream welfare until refugee status is granted.
- **France**: Asylum seekers receive the *allocation pour demandeur d’asile* (ADA), around €6.80/day, plus housing and food support.
- **Germany**: Offers €354–€410/month depending on age and housing status. Benefits increase after 15 months if asylum is still pending.

---

### 🩺 **Healthcare Access**
- **UK**: Free NHS care via HC2 certificate, including dental and prescriptions.
- **France**: Full access to public healthcare through *Protection Universelle Maladie* (PUMA).
- **Germany**: Basic healthcare provided during asylum process; full access after 15 months or upon refugee status.

---

### 🎓 **Education & Integration**
- **UK**: Limited access to university scholarships; no work or formal education until refugee status.
- **France**: Offers language courses, some vocational training, and limited university access.
- **Germany**: Strong integration programs—language, job training, and education are prioritized early.

---

### ⚖️ **Legal Aid & Work Rights**
- **UK**: Legal aid is available but tightly rationed. No right to work unless asylum claim is pending over 12 months.
- **France**: Legal aid more accessible; work permitted after 6 months.
- **Germany**: Work allowed after 3 months in most cases; legal aid varies by region but is generally more accessible.

---

### 🧠 Summary
- **Germany** leads in integration and early access to work and education.
- **France** offers more structured housing and healthcare.
- **UK** is more restrictive, with lower financial support and longer delays before access to work or mainstream benefits.

If you want a breakdown by visa type (e.g. asylum vs economic migrant), or how these systems handle rejected claims and deportations, I can dig deeper.

Kebatu, of the Bell hotel, spoke through an interpreter to give his date of birth as December 1986, making him 38 years old. He denies two counts of sexual assault, one count of attempted sexual assault, one count of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, and one count of harassment without violence. The trial, which is expected to last two days, continues.

I thought that was a joke.  Sadly, it's apparently not...

Shoplifters can steal sausages with impunity. But mention bacon to a Muslim and the police come running

It was certainly provocative of a protester to chant about the food on the site of a proposed mosque, but he shouldn’t have been arrested

Crap

Undocumented migrants in France get nothing, zip, nada,

So no idea where you are pulling that from.

Which is why they don't register for Asylum in France, and are desperate to get to the UK.

Nope.  The Dem, promising manna from heaven, lost.  Even promises of slavery reparations and college loan forgiveness weren't enough to overcome an otherwise unqualified candidate.

Are you seriously doubting they are put up in 4 star Hotels, what do you think all the protests are about?
