Germany Stands Firm: No Peace Deal at Ukraine's Expense

Featured Replies

As long as Ukraine is paying the price he’d say something like that. The plan to overwhelm Russia is backfiring so the planners are desperate to hang on and hope for a miracle. Those bastards are heading us in the direction of all out war for personal gain.

His world isnt isolated, hes thinking to the future. Maybe an alliance with Russia. After all, they have more to offer us than Ukraine.

Future is bleak when the largest economies in the world are forming their own alliances because of Trump's inconsistent policies and high tariffs. Putting a few Trump's Tower in Russia may be his plan.

Germany is apparently willing to fight to the last dead Ukrainian.  Just enough German support to keep the war going...

It's time for the killing to stop and the rebuilding to start.  Long past time.

Let me translate your nonsense.

It's time for Ukraine to surrender.

It's long past time for Ukraine to quit listening to the neocons and warmongers, accept reality on the ground and stop fighting, before they lose even more territory and more fighting men and more civilian lives.

Surrender insinuates losing Kiev and Odessa.  Which they could do if they keep fighting.  Or they could concede Crimea (from 11 years ago) and Donbass.  And keep the rest of the country.  I'm sure NATO, the EU and the "Collective West" can come up with some assurances that Kiev can keep the rest of Ukraine.  But the only way they can get back the Crimea and Donbass is NATO boots on the ground, WW3 and the risk of nuclear holocaust.  Sucks, for sure.  But that's the reality.  It's time to start rebuilding.

And on a very relevant aside, if you believe NATO's Rutte, things could happen in the East while the collective West is distracted with a Euro war.

Ukraine sure would have been in a better position if we had elected a true patriot as president not a clown cartoon president.heres a thought Russia you return to your own country deal with the person who is holding you back from reaching your potential.then rejoin the world and contribute as you should.salva Ukraine!!

Zelenskyy is not only a patriot but  diplomat and true statesman. Look at how he bore Trump's fury and returned to finesse him.

Okay, King Chulalongkorn already sold three provinces to British Malaya, fuelling a conflict which continues to this day in Songkla, Patani, Narathiwat & Yala. Perhaps we coulkd afford to lose Nan, Loei, and maybe Chiang Rai & Chiang Mai. Deal?

In the US, the Yanks could cede laska to Russia, too. And those Northern states, esp New England, to Canada. New Spain: California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas are Mexicn anyway. Ah, and give Louisian back to France already.

Feel good about that? I thought not.

The difference, of course, is that none of those scenarios you mentioned involve the risk of WW3 and nuclear annihilation.

And let me flip that over on you...  If the USA took Baja California, do you think the residents would be better off or worse off than they are under Mexico City?  While I certainly don't advocate it, the natives would be much better off under a US flag and US economy.

Ukraine is notorious for its corruption.  Has been since its independence.  Still is.
