No ....I said before becoming rude and excusing myself And a good point, Is it north Pattaya where the surfing waves are? The beach such as Jomtien is not a real beach as such ,where are the real beach ? You became rude? I thought you might have burst into tears at the lack of waves and feeling sorry because this person had to get through the day without any waves. It's so sad - it's enough to make you weep.....
September 2, 2025Sep 2 Closest surfing to Bkk is probably Hua Hin. I don't know how good it is, but it's there. Looked like maybe a good place for beginners to learn but I'm no expert. According to Google AI the best time is Oct-Dec.

September 5, 2025Sep 5 Get ready, please! There will never be any surfing in Ao Thai: that is why many people live on its beaches!

Good buddy lived at Khao Lak, and his buddy owns a dive shop. He went once, out to Similan Is. and doesn't have to pay, and never bothered again, and I feel the same way, and haven't dove in TH since 2000 & 2001, during first 2 visits. Gets a 'just ok', and I wouldn't recommend to any experienced divers, unless they're really bored. Especially out of Phuket, as an all day affair, for me, and a nice day on the water, so not all bad. PP was nicer, and closer sites, so if going, head out from there.

September 5, 2025Sep 5 Karon beach has had some decent waves every time I went and was able to do some body surfing. Varies quite a bit depending on weather, off shore storms or fronts etc. But it is a very wide and open beach.
September 6, 2025Sep 6 There are always many surfers in Pakarang Beach (Memories Beach) in Khao Lak. Apsara Resort is a great resort and conveniently located nearby.
